I put a spfi 350 in a cucv & it will do circles around a 6.2.
STOCK it has double the hp & 1 1/2 times the torque the 6.2 has.
99 chevy 350 hp255 torque330 @2800rpm
85 chevy 6.2 hp130 torque240 @2000rpm
An Ls motor would really be an improvement over a 6.2.
Some people don't like going 40mph !

That aluminum shelf was bolted in the floor of bed up against front right side bed
for radio equip.
Also had power cables running to right frt of bed

I did not have to drill any holes in the bmy truck I converted.

Most tire shops won't touch them (they claim liability issues).
You will have to disassemble the wheel to get tire & run flat off.

Remember low air pressure you can loose a...
The reason I asked is because in that second pic you posted, those fittings aren't crimped.
One piece screws on counterclockwise to the hose then the second part screws into the first.
Post some pics when you get them swapped over.
Edit: Thanks for the catalog link !
Wont comment on "rules for certain people don't apply"

Will say life's not fair" & leave it at that :)
Whats NOT allowed is discussing "how to" get an off road title vehicle registered for steet use.

What gets me is the many on here that freak out & want a thread locked because someone mentions title & hmmwv in the same thread.
Opposite of you, I prefer to have both a bill of sale & a title because
some of the leos & city employees around...
WOW
Once again some people just don't get it
Title = OWNERSHIP !!!! Nothing less nothing more.
REGISTRATION = TAX to use on public roads.
Why can't some of you understand the difference ???
SF-97 is a certificate of origin (from the government)
basically a government title
Then you pretty much answered your own question.
Look your suspension (all 4 corners) over really well.
Check bushings & ball joints & get a 4 wheel alignment done.
Sounds like that g80 (govbomb) grenaded & tore everything else up with it.
Bet an early 70's 12 bolt axle was swapped in.
The spring pads have different widths and the 1/2 ton axle will have the pads welded farther apart than the original.
Like you mentioned shock mounts are opposite also...
Here's 5 m101's with an 18ft trailer in a 360 mile round trip recovery.
Ive hauled them both ways (tounge forward, tounge rearward.
Did it this way to get 5th trailer.
