You're right about the 1009s. 3 just closed in Ft. Hood today. One for 2100 and the other two for 3500!
I wonder if there's a decent candidate for an automatic transmission behind the LDT-465?
You can still get it free if you ask around.
I stopped at an oilfield supply place nearby for some fittings, told the guy what I was doing with the stuff, and he took me out and back and offered to trade me 100 gallons for a couple of cases of beer.
While that's not free, that's still only...
Congrats.
Yes, the FT Sam GL guys are definitely the easiest of all the GL folks to work with.
I think the first deuce I picked up out of there, Rod push started for me with his fork lift.
The motor on this unit says 55 amps max. 1.5 hp motor.
That switch plug (on the left) looks awfully puny to be handling that amount of current at 27 or so volts. Is it possible that there's a 60+ amp rated relay inside that box behind the switch plug?
What kind of power difference are you guys getting between 50% WMO/Diesel and straight diesel?
I know bypassed deuces do not generate much power with 50% or more gasoline in them. I had to buy some to keep from running out of fuel on a different truck so it turned out to be around 50/50 gas...
Wouldn't running a bunch of WMO somewhat mitigate the problem?
I only ask because I'm fixing to run alot of WMO in mine and the FDC has not been bypassed. Not sure yet if I want to bypass it as I'm not sure what kind of power it would generate on 50% - 75% wmo with the FDC bypassed.
So...
Not to be flip, but yeah, that's exactly what something is worth. Whatever someone else will pay for it.
List it up for whatever you think you can get out of it. You can always lower your price if it doesn't sell.
Take pics of the pump and the motor especially. See if you can get a max amp draw off the motor data plate.
I'm going to make a WAG tho, and say that motor is probably 2hp. Which would make the switch something like 60 amp at 24 volts.
Or else it uses a smaller switch and power supply to...
85 RPM is really low. Which means either an expensive gear motor or you do all the reduction yourself with chains and sprockets or pulleys and belts. If you do it yourself, you're going to need alot more space.
I reduced a treadmill motor down to around 20 rpm, but I had to turn an 18" wooden...
Picked up a SBC pump at o'reilley's today for 17 bucks.
Yeah, I'm going to shoot for 2000 rpm on a 1 horse motor or whatever motor I can find. At least 1/2 hp. Which means I'll probably have to do a 3:2 reduction with pulleys.
