Well I finally got around to fiddling with my truck today. I installed a heater kit from another truck and finally made a locking gas cab thing. Its a pretty simple but effective tool to keep people from stealing or sabatoging my precious fuel supply. I made it out of an 8" long 3/4" piece of...
You'll need the lever that bolts up to the side of the master cylinder and pops out through the floor board that operates the pto, the safety lock that keep the pto from being engaged while driving. As far as the hole in the floor board, you can look closely and see an indentation in the floor...

That looks really cool, I like the exhaust stacks. What tubes would you use for those? Those are the tires I would like to get but I dont want to spend a bunch of money on the rims.
I just installed one from a chevy truck onto my duece last week. Bought it brand new in the box for $50 on a close out deal, had to drive through the ghetto to get it but it was worth it. Its only rated at 10K lbs with a weight dist. hitch but now I can tow a regular trailer. I'll get some pics...
Gotta work as usual and I dont think I will be getting it off since one of my co workers is already taking the day off. Some day I will be able to attend a function, someday......
Thats a great idea, I have bumped mine off with my arse while getting out of the truck when parked on inclines but always leave it in gear with the fuel shut off pulled out.
There is a brand new radiator on Ebay right now. Starting bid is $650, no bids as of earlier today. $650 seems to be what the surplus places want for a NOS one. Any chance the old one can be rebuilt or salvaged? Might save you alot of money. Try and get some pics of the master cylinder area of...
$1200, drove it home 130 miles after buying a piece of plexiglass and roll of duct tape for the windshield. Drove the scenic route 66 out of Barstow, was a blast! I would have to say Will probably has us all beat with the best deal I've ever heard of.
Condition code H7, "condemned/unserviceable", I agree, there is a better way to find a new home like donating them to a place where they are guaranteed a good "End use".
My truck has more than paid for itself during some remodeling with several full loads to the dump as well as not having to pay for delivery fees and the cost of towing other dueces. It is definately one vehicle I will not part with again. I made the mistake once by selling my duece then...
I just bought a new air o matic ram by itself off ebay for $35, now I need to buy the control valve/drag link. I think I can make the mounts and lines easily. Anybody have any ideas where to get the drag link? Any body have an extra's laying around?
Ive seen several batteries blow up in guys faces when I worked at a dealership. I always wear eye protection and am very careful when playing with connections.
I think it would be a cool swap if you wanted something with balls out power for mudd but would definately get horrible fuel milage. Stomp on the gas and get all 10 tires spinning!
