when you squeeze the upper hose you might pay close attention to make sure it's full of coolant, the upper hose on some of these like to get an air pocket in it. That air pocket affects all cooling system performance, good luck:-D
small screw driver!
I actually didn't have to pry toooo bad....do you have a part # for good/built IP, and source? I only paid 13.00 for this one used. ok ok, I did commit a cardinal sin......next time I will ask first!:-D
I pulled an injection pump off of a 83 6.2 civy blazer at the local junkyard. Never having done this I was in for a bit of a surprise how time consuming it was going to be. when I started it was complete as if the truck had just left the road, probably why it took an hour and a half to get it...
here in idaho near the washington border in spokane, you can get a quality rebuild for 550w/ exchange, or a built unit for real horsepower for 700.....keep searchin', someone wants to make money.
am I missing something??? these are the same trucks that we already have on the road.....it appears that someone has the ability to spare them at will....right?
when I use the snow plow controls on my 1008 the gen 1/2 lights flash, and when I put the heater on full blast the gen 1 light comes on dim........I have the correct 100 amp alts in both locations and they are only a couple months old. Are the lights flashing to indicate a load/ an over draw of...
I did read that you replaced core about a year ago..........my buddies 1009 had a problem just like yours where no heat got into the cab, after changing out radiators, burping the cooling system and confirming proper function of the thermostat........it turned out to be that a critter had built...
I dont think you can buy fusible links like that anymore......but you can buy fusible link wire in the proper guage per application, cross the rating on that to an inline fuse and i bet that would work.....glad it was something dumb!:-D
hey bud, I couldn't open the "diagram" you sent me because of some pop up blocker or some thing.....hope it wasnt important! I would un hook the slave cables to rule them out first. In my old 79 civi truck I had the same ground melt off, the battery jumped up and welded itself to the bottom of...
I saw a video here or on u-tube that someone had posted, it was a 1009 built to the gills/ was used in movies, the guy lived in california, and he had something like 15-20000 into the truck. If you dont know who i'm talking about maybe I gave you enough key words to look for it, sorry thats all...
my guess was that the tranny went and thats why it's in the junkyard in the first place, if I get time tomarrow I will get a bunch off of the truck. And it's to bad it's a blazer because I cant use the nearly new true dual exhaust. Anything else we can think of to get?
All the "man" did was take a bunch of good parts and ruin them. Some poeple can only afford used parts and have no real hope of obtaining a loan for a $10,000 cracker jack box that will probably need work from a dealer to stay on the road for a single year....thats enough of my rant, thanks for...
I'll bet 10-1 that the issue is a leaking wheel seal on that corner, when 75-90 leaks out of the seal it gets on the brakes and makes them "sticky", the shoes grab the drum and just cant let go because the oil made up the gap, it definately explains the lac of heat with serious drag......hope...
