I'm no expert, but I did recently paint my MV with Behr 383 CARC green. Your two doors look similar to my truck color.
Question: How old is the paint-job on the body of your truck? It could be that the military paint has faded and looks lighter.
Just a thought.
It must be a good feeling to know that you've got fellow Steel Soldiers nearby to help when a job demands it!
Glad Chris was able to help you get things back in good shape! [thumbzup]
With my failed search for a decent steel hardtop at a 'reasonable price', I've been thinking about
doing a project like this. Though I'm much more skilled at building with fiberglass materials...
especially at points such as the rear corners... I really like what SirKen had been doing here...
Sounds like a nice project! This is a great site for much of the information you'll
need as you progress. Enjoy your deuce and... welcome from Arizona! [thumbzup]
Hi Fury! Welcome from Arizona! [thumbzup]
This place is full of very helpful folks and really good information.
Have fun learning all you can and searching for the MV that's right
for you!
Chris was the first SS member I've had the pleasure to speak with on the phone. Felt like I've known him for a
long while. He took time to explain the deuce IP and make it understandable. He's been a big help! [thumbzup]
Hope to meet him while at one of our stops on the trip home to AZ.
Wondering what type of driver seat will you have in the (new to you) M35A2? If it is the original seat, you'll have a much
more difficult time driving extra miles. If you'll have a comfortable 'truckers' seat... it will be easier to do more miles. Also,
I recall you mentioned that your wife was...
Welcome from Arizona! [thumbzup]
Wish I could be of help with your search for the 'flywheels' you need. If you keep at
it, something is likely to turn up.
Welcome from Arizona!
I've actually been spending a big chunk of this year in South Jersey where I've been working
to prepare my first deuce for a long adventure home to AZ. It's been a great experience so far!
Learn as much as you can and enjoy all the fun that follows! [thumbzup]
Yes... you had mentioned that somewhere before. I looked back through some threads, but did not find it. Thanks for
re-sharing! That's an awesome plan!
So important for your son to learn... firsthand... about those who came before him. And... you'll be able to make real,
direct...
So... are you going to be organizing a convoy, or going solo? My wife and I want to do the deuce-trip up to Alaska (someday),
but first I've got to get this 'beast' out of NJ and then about 3000 miles home to Arizona! :-)
I've also installed a ton of lights for many of the same reasons you've...
