I used 2 inch AL angle the length of plate. Drill hole and bolt to stabilizer bracket. You can mount it under or on top of the bracket. I used rivnuts for license plate screws but you can just use regular nuts. Easily removed if you need to attach stabilizer leg. I hate to drill holes...
Okie Cowboy. Your number is different. Mine 7018601 and looked just like photo posted. They tried to sell me another but don't remember number. I would play it safe and keep looking. Mine cost $13.00 Bob
Did Doghead today on M1009 I got yesterday. Took about an hour. Found relay at O'Reillys in lawnmower section. Clerk could not find it on computer! My mounting plate was different than picture so drilled 2 holes. Got it reattached and connected batteries keeping 9/16 wrench in hand to...
When I unloaded cargo cover from bed of M1101 I found 4 pieces of tan vinyl material 24X13 inches and 4 pieces of OD vinyl 23X11 inches. Looked through entire manual and could find no mention of these. The tan ones are about 1 inch wider than the metal panels that support the top. Could they...
Odds caught up with me on M1101 recovery at Ft. Hood. Checked hubs after mile or so and driver side pretty warm, other side ok. Found Centex trailer in Nolanville, south of Killeen. Owner, Dan Watson, nice guy. Could not get to it that day so we left it picked it up following week. Hub nut...
I have been pleased with the RAPCO 686. It matches the slightly faded CARC really well on M1101 and M1102 trailers. I wet sand, prime with RAPCO primer, let it dry over night and then spray using can. The green and brown do not match the faded CARC nearly as well when doing the camo.
A friend who works as DA civilian and is retired military told me that all the M1101 and M1102 trailers are being removed from inventory. Has anyone else heard that and is there a replacement. There seems to be a lot of them for sale on GL. Over 80 at last Ft. Hood sale. Prices seem...
Having restored a USMC M998 that was original and running with 2,400 miles on it, I can tell you the parts really add up. I quit adding at 10,000.00 on parts, fluids, paint, etc. Most of the parts were new GI and cost less than H1 parts from the dealer. I would look for a running, nonfire...
I agree but I am not very good with the computer. My intent was to make fun of my lack of expertise and to prevent some other new guy from making my mistake. I appreciate your constructive criticism. I know it must be trying to those who have been on this site for many years. Mike, I owe you a...
Just got home from Ft. Hood after picking up a second M1101 trailer. Called site people after getting pass toget on post. Andrew met us at LZ Phantom and led us to trailer. Assisted usand was very polite and helpful. I am a new guy to GL but did many buys from DRMO Ft. Riley years ago and...
I've used 3-4 cases repainting M998 HMMWV. A lot was wasted doing small parts. I primed everything and used one can of primer for every can of black . brown, and green. I agree you will need more green and least of brown. RAPCO shipping is very fast. Ask for April. Don"t know about Behr but...
Installed airlift bumper without any help. Real proud of myself. Had to remove 1 clamp to get slack in trailer harness. Installed plug without twisting harness not looking a letters on face of plug. Got some interesting results when connected to M1102 trailer. The plug was 90 degrees off. Am I...
Picked up M1102 today at Ft. Hood. Andrew, GL employee, was very helpful and even advised me to check hub temp after a few miles. M1102 is 2011 manufacture with new tires. No sign of unit markings. Overall, looks new except for some paint fading. I am pleased with purchase since I did not...
Thank you all for your advice. I see the advertised prices but no one knows what the cash price. I know the SS crew has a real idea what they sell for.
