If you can't find that #11 Bjorn, I have a well educated one here.
If anyone has ever been in an "old timer's" (ahem - who me?) sign shop it has a distinct musty turpentine and woodsy smell, sort of akin to a old cabinet shop. Love that aroma.
Hey, Santa Maria!
Home to Jocko's Steak House in nearby Nipomo and probably one of the best in the world.
Never miss a chance to go there when passing through. Even made a few dead head runs there just to "attend". :D
Welcome to our Big Green Club
Here is a link to a good rundown on the...
For those interested we are having the 21st annual Seabee Days event here in So Cal.
It is about 30 minutes from my house and if any members are interested in going we could rendezvous at my place and the caravan to the base.
(Wonder if they would let the Deuce in???)
By the way...
Bjorn - I loved Trig in high school!!!
If you save then import as an .eps file that is the universally accepted extension that will work in any vector format for cutting. That seems to hold true for drawings generated in Illustrator CS2 and then opening in an older Corel, Flexisign, Casmate...
Hey now there's a great one for the tips and tricks book.
In the hot rodder world after spending hours cleaning the spokes on wire wheels we'd spray
Adorn Hair Spray on them. When you wash the car the water based hair spray would wash off leaving beautifully clean wires, dry and repeat with...
AS RD points out we use Krylon extensively in the sign trade to paint vinyl lettering cheaply for different effects such as a fade from one color to the next. Works quite well and lasts a long time.
Ya know Will, I meant to call you (that day I stopped by and you fixed my wiper motor in this very same method) to tell you that you left your scribe on the front bumper (drivers side) of your deuce. I completely forgot until now. So if you are missing it, that's where it was.
I B @...
I think I read on the forum here (a few years ago) that if the canvas seat covers were put in the washing machine that they would self destruct.
Anyone else remember that?
Post Edit:
Ah, found it here...
Re: RE: Glandhand coupler for Deuce air hose accessory
Oh man. Will I owe you my first born already. I'll check on the tips Westfolk and Houdel gave.
Besides, I get things at cost from the NAPA store here as I letter all their trucks for my cost.
Hey where's that insignia art so I can make...
Which gladhand do I need/want for an airhose connecting to the rear air line on the deuce?
They show a 11430, 11431, 11432 and they look the same.

Yeah, California's way of saying "Welcome to the West Coast" ..........now bend over.
Tempted to go to COSTCO and get a couple of 5 gal jugs of new vegetable oil for $2.85 a gal.
Thanks to all and a special nod for the excellent/exact references there Jeff.
Going on my first loooooong distance drive this weekend and wanted to cram all the fuel in there I can. I'm really looking forward to it. Uh ..........the drive - not filling the tank at $3.45 a gal.
Ok so there is a "Fill To" line for the fuel tank (pictured from Multifuel Operators Manual).
Since my Deuce is sans one of these how far down from the top is it?
Why no more than the line, is it because of fuel expansion or ?
Thanks
Re: RE: Got My Deuce!
TomT,
Welcome to the group with a nice addition. Get a good close up high resolution picture of that hood if you are going to repaint it. I can reproduce that image in a decal for you if interested.
Will, Antelope Valley has the socket in stock.
If you need one you can borrow mine. It is 3/4 drive.
By the way, I am coming your way tomorrow (Friday noonish) in the Deuce for the parade I am in on Saturday and will going past you again on Sunday for return trip home. I'll PM you with the...
