Watch your overhead, in total I sold right at 30 adapter kits for the NHC 250. Had more fun doing it and helping others. All my trucks are now equipped.

top photo looks like shelter hold down attach points.

Has the truck sat for a long time? Sounds like the transfer case shift actuator is gummed up. It can be removed and cleaned, may need new seals.

The older two prong slave receptacle cover is threaded, lefty losey, then it pivots out of the way. To much heat may melt the weather seal or damage the insulator. Wrap it in tape and put a pair of channel locks on it.
