Yes, it is plug and play, and eventually fails, no matter how well it is grounded. If it fails in a spectacular way, your truck's wiring also catches fire and melts/burns.. They SUCK! Do a search, you will see.........
Keep your eyes out on ebay for the part. Beltfed34 on ebay is where I got mine for 30 or so. Or you can grind off the 2 tabs for the old style parking brake. You can only do this mod if you have the parking brakes on the 1/2 shafts.
