I'd called and left a message that if he has any issues while within the western Ohio area, he can let me know, just got a voice mail to leave the message. There's a few from our "group" that can help with a break-down. We do it for ourselves all the time. Though right now, I think my towbar...
Really nice looking Dodge, there are none in that good of shape up here. And even trying to find decent parts for the 880/890 pick-ups is getting very difficult. Wish somebody made aftermarkets for them. Could use a new floor in the bed and front fenders on one of mine. Nice truck, doesn't...
Had that same problem at Findlay one year, and then during the night it got COLD too. So while I always wondered what everybody was towing those trailers for, the closest I get to that kind of camping anymore is Holiday Inn Express..... I'm just too old and beat-up and old uncle "arthur"...
This has been a good thread, I've got to clean the tank in my M-54, and was afraid I'd have to do something drastic. Its really screwing up the injector pump pressure and my speed.
You might look under the dash over the hump for the transmission, there should be a data plate there that has everything on it including the manufacturer. I know mine is a CCW, not a CCKW, but when cleaning out all the farm trash and mouse turds, I found it under there and also learned my truck...
You and lacoda56 can both rest assured as can we all that we're on some federal list. But they may find their plans for us harder to accomplish that they think. Sounds like your planning on having some fun with your trailers. Can't say as I'd want to be taking a 'motorbike' any distance at...
Welcome from Sandusky, Ohio, as you're seeing there are a whole lot of very helpful people on this site and you'll also find there are quite a few owners of your type vehicle in Ohio, there are about six in this area alone. Good luck with your projects and you will enjoy the "OD Madness"
bcowanwheels has always provided me with quality parts at fair prices for what I was looking for. He's got quite a collection of the 715/725 series stuff. One of these days I've actually got to get down there, I need some parts that probable will not ship well, (like a front cowl) or even...
As you've seen its pretty much what ever your pocket book will take when it comes to swaps on the 725. A friend of mine in Hastings, Mich. has never found an M-725 he wanted to leave stock, even asked me to let him do a swap on one of mine. (like I need a 725 that does in excess of 70 MPH....)...
Three thousand, Might have to sell my CCKW, it is in somewhat better shape, though I've yet to start the restoration. Might get a chance this year, the cancer surgery has slowed me up considerably, and that truck is on the top of the list now. But that price for a GMC in that shape...
So somebody else reads the flight safety mags eh??? "Grampa Pettibone", and I'm not even from the aviation community, ""Fly Navy, Divers Need The Work". I read/read them to keep up with what I might have to face while swimming with them to pull a pilot from on that thinks its a submersible, or...
Put mine in for 200.00, it's the least I can do, I'm one of the ones who made it back with no physical wounds......... Not an easy thing to do from Viet Nam when I was there both times...
There will be again a military vehicle show at the Fall Oak Ridge Festival in Attica, Ohio. The dates are October 15th and 16th with set up on Friday the 14th. No charge for exhibiting your vehicle, there is plenty of food vendors there and some vehicle owners will be camping out as ell...
There's a junkyard near here, alot of old rotten wood boats and other non-descript junk, but he has one of the first hydraulic cranes built for the Seabees in WWII, some know it as an "anteater" due to the long "I"-beam boom tapered at one end and bowed down slightly. Had some pictures of it...
Don't know about 5 ton envy, I've got one of those and the wrecker to haul it home when it it bad, but I've always wanted one, JUST ONE of those and you have how many???? seven?? My but that hurts. Makes my collection very pale in comparison.
There's one sitting sinking into the ground at Sam Winer Motors in Akron, Ohio also (matter of fact there is a Sherman doing the same thing as well as an M-5, but thats another story) Maybe those folks have some various parts left too The one sitting there is fairly complete, but nobody can...
Good luck to you, those things are near impossible to get parts for, too much aluminum for them to have lasted long after the military got rid of them. They're right in suggesting cranetruck, Bjorn know more than anybody about them and IF there are parts out there, he'll know where they are...
