Could you please take a moment, view these pictures and let me know if you think this is a F-3 or an L-2 airfield service truck.
All pictures can be viewed larger at Airfield Service GMC CCKW - a set on Flickr
My guess is that it is a L-2 due to the vessel between the cab and tank taking up...
The first Saturday in October is always a tough one for me. My Godson, Logan, has down syndrome and the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin - Fox Valley (DSAW-Fox Cities ) Awareness Walk is on that weekend.
As Logan's mother is the one who started this walk last year my wife and I are more...
I will be up there selling dog tags next to the tower like I have for the last 5-6 years. I also plan on bringin up some of the Museums vehicles. I don't know which ones yet - any requests? :)

Looks good! I'm not a recovery expert by any means, but wouldn't it be easier to pull the M-60 out from the other side (provided you could get to the other side)?
I won't be able to make this one. I hope to have the halftrack up at the National Railroad Museum's WWII Days. It just happens to be the same weekend...
But if any of you up in the Green Bay area want to come and see a great WWII event, come on over and stop in.

Chet Krause sold his HST's (and many other HMVs) to Kevin Kronlund (from Army Cars USA) a number of years ago. If you contacted Kevin at (715)
635-7728 or via email kevin@armycarsusa.com, I would think he could tell you what he bought and where they went.

On the way home from Poof Stock 2011 the Museum's M-37 had a slight mechanical issue. As I was tooling down Highway 26 at a blistering 40 MPH, I suddenly lost power. I coasted down the hill and got safely off to the side of the road. Lifting the hood, I started to diagnose the problem. Hmmmm...
A HUGE thank you to skinnedknuckles for bringing the Museum's M-37 home for us today and to poof for letting it hang out with is trucks for the week. Now it's off to find a new fuel pump for her. I'll post some pics of the old three-piece unit once I get some good light to take them in.

Well... Here it is, 9:45 at night and I am finally sitting down to the computer. I got home at about 8:15. That means after 9.5 hours "on the road" I get the longest drive award taken away from dittle, right? :)
We have a tow company that we work with regularly in Oshkosh. I'll give them a ring...
I'll be heading out in about 1/2 hour. Due to the forecasted rain I will be bringing a M-37 this weekend.
I plan on taking 26, so I'll have to call you, Poof, when I get close.
~Robert
I should also mention that I have 2 M101A3 trailers that are for sale. I wouldn't mind bringing them down if somones interested. Just send me a PM if you want some details.

Dozenjeeps -
I will be drawing my vehicle out of the MVM motorpool in Oshkosh. We can still meet up in A-town and convoy down but we'll have to make a stop in OshVegas.
The museum hasn't gotten the new plates yet but it sounds like others have.....
I'm gonna talk with a few other Appleton...
Alright! I just got the Big Dog Party Pass so I'll be there as well. Looks like I'll be heading down on Saturday morning and leaving on Sunday morning.
Not sure which vehicle to bring yet. I 'm thinking about the WC-56 but it will depend on the weather.

Just catching up on things here... Is April 30/May 1st the dates? I have off that weekend but need to check and see what my better half has planned.
I might bring some other Fox Valley MVers along with me also.
I use AmsOil in my daily driver - a 2000 TJ - and love it. I noticed the better cold weather performance right off the bat once the transmission and differentials were switched over.
I plan on putting it in my WC-63 once done also.
Out today to change the broken left shock absorber on one of my M101A3s (thank you Mr. anonymous GL guy) when I ran into a little problem....
The bolt/stud that holds the shock absorber on sheared off. Now I have to figure out how to get a new stud on there. Anyone have any ideas.
From what I...
