Scott,
If your drivers window is broken check the adjustment of the mirrors before you put in the new one. If someone mis-adjusted the mirrors or brackets they can hit the window if the door is opened all the way and break the window. The window is not difficult to replace but the...
It has been quite some time since anyone has commented on this thread so I was curious if anyone has found a better solution (and cheaper than packaged options) for disc brakes?
Thanks
Some may say this is a stupid response, but did you already try using a good 3/4 or 1" impact? The hammering action helps break the rust loose. Then you could try the geared lug wrench again.
You could also try muratic acid to etch it. I used that trick to get the galvanizing off of parts before welding. I have powder coated some of my tools and that works pretty well too.
I made a temporary 1 1/2" vinyl cap for that self cleaning 90 until I can find something that fits and looks better. It is alot quieter now. I can have a conversation in the truck now without screaming. Of course the engine noise I can still hear, but I am going to use some Lizard Skin and other...
I added a Jones (Aero) Turbine resonated muffler to my A3. I welded flanges on the new muffler so I could keep it original if I wanted to reinstall the old one it would be an easy swap. I haven't put the guard back on in these pictures but it is much quieter and has a great tone to it.
I just got my inspection completed today and got the tags for it. My HHR looks like a little toy next to it. Now I am going to change all the fluids-filters and make some small repairs. One thing they hit me on was the dash lights not being bright enough. I pulled the dash and added some leds to...
Does anyone know what filter goes on the winch pto system? Mine is painted over so I can't read the numbers. I also am looking for the part number for a new cap for the pto tank. I didn't see those listed.
Thanks
I have been considering using Counteract or the Equal product. Does anyone have any more feedback on how effective these are before I waste a ton of money on it?
Thanks
I am thinking of fabbing up an aluminum diamond plate box for that same location. I am in Maryland and we get tons of rain, mud, and snow here so I will make a valiant effort to water proof it.
Yes I know its an old post but its a good one.
"The search is strong with this one!"
I would recommend checking the temperature rating on the tubing you are using if using it directly on the compressor. You would be better to leave a bit of copper from the compressor out to allow for heat dissipation and to keep the poly tubing from melting.
Where can I get replacement lenses for the dash indicators in my M35A3? My truck won't pass inspection because they say the lights are too dim. Is there a different type of cap or replacement caps I can buy and modify to try to get more light to the gauges without needing to add something under...
