I put one of the tires on the front today and replaced the original shock. The shock was toast. We will be replacing the other 5 this week and the other front shock. These were listed just under 500 lbs with the steel rim, tire and runflats installed. Then add the adapter and fasteners. I tried...
Yeah. When we jacked up the driverside front we found the out of balance wheel. it would roll around and settle on the heavy spot. Oddly enough it wasn't where the ctis gear or counterbalance was. Will be glad to swap them out and get a much better ride.
I got mine in June of this year. My nephew and I flew to Missouri and drove it home making a pitstop to my brothers in Kentucky. We went just under 1500 miles in 2 1/2 days.

Mine seems to be relatively quiet. I also upgraded from the factory muffler to an Jones turbine. I got some stainless pipe and flanges and matched the existing muffler setup. It sounds alot better and seems to be quieter until you stand into it. I painted it black and put the guard back in place.
I had the fan for the heater burn up the other day on my way to work. It was an odd smell. Not like a usual motor or transformer burnout smell but kinda smelled a little bit like antifreeze. The new one came in so I started the replacement but discovered it was a bigger motor with a larger bolt...
I found it at Mcmaster-Carr and bought 100 ft of it. I also use it for bungee cords as well. They have different types of ends for and I bought them too.

I didn't SAY it was your hand. I was just pointing out a detail that "someone" had a glove on. I am a technical engineer so these little details stick out for me.:-P
Also your truck looks great and the write ups I read are very helpful. Thanks to everyone putting that effort into write ups...
This will be my first winter with my Deuce and I wanted to get some tips on winter operation and supplies. What should I look for or do to prepare the Deuce for winter operation besides the TM info? Any little nuances I should be aware of? Any specific things I may want to carry extra with me or...
I have alignment issues with my hardtop. No matter how much I tweek it the windows in the doors don't quite line up right. The tub seems to be a little out of shape causing the top to not line up properly. I am trying to find a different type of seal for the door windows where it meets the top...
I finally got around to troubleshooting why the defroster on the driver side of the truck wasn't working today. Air would scream out of the floor and passenger side vents but not the drivers side. I pulled it apart and found a huge old critter nest in that duct. Cleaned it out, turned on the fan...
A quick spare tire question. I have not had the time to finish painting my mrap rims so they are still sitting on the side of the garage. My question is what solutions did everyone come up with for the 395 spare? It doesn't look like it will fit where the factory super single mounts. I am...
I don't know if anyone else has tried the Jones Turbine - Aero turbine mufflers, but I installed a resonated one on mine and I like the sound note and it is quiet as well. Yes I did put the guard back on and I don't think my welds turned out too bad for my first time using my new Tig welder.
I would look for some mud truck rims. I did a quick search and found the ones on this truck for example. I don't know if you are going to get 12 more inches of width out of it but its a place to start looking. the other thing to consider is that the more deep dish offset you have the more...
I just got my truck in June. I wasn't able to make it to the rally this year but I read lots of posts from guys that go there to meet and sell parts etc. I should be there next year barring anything else popping up at work again.
Welcome Andy,
The cat is listed as max rpm of 2700. Mine puts me right at 48 to 49 mph at 2600. From what I have been told running at 2700 is not a good thing for the cat 3116 so I keep mine at 2600. It should do better once I get the 46's on there. The auto in the A3 is a 1:1 just as Wildchild...
