RDD!
Long time coming and good to see your getting real close to enjoying the "whistle while you drive". Do I notice freshly painted frame rails in the first picture?
That new motor of yours looks...........NEW! Is it a fresh rebuild or NIB? Been awhile since you mentioned getting it and I'm too...
Devin,
I was thinking at least a spare motor with frame rails to support it at the very least but for $3500 reserve I'll just sit and watch. Fair game for anyone, I am outa this one.
Well not entirely, here's another nail in the coffin. Now it's ready for the Gay Pride Parade.
Don't...
I was told that he was a contractor.
There are some interesting things that were done to it.
I could get down there sometime and put a note on the truck
Try this picture.
Hey Big Mike,
My original Deuce I bought was desert tan camo scheme and I bought the paint to redo it. Before I ever painted it I bought the second Deuce I have now - which is OD Green. Sold the tan deuce and still have the paint. They have never been opened, still have the plastic seal ring on...
Thanks mhb285 Mike.
I just hung up the phone from the person Will Wagner uses/suggested.
It's all tightened up. I am going driving!! :jumpin:
Thanks Will...........again. Now I can really participate. Big Mike's "reindeer roast and bike crash" is getting to be more of a reality than...
Is this the vehicle they call the "weasel"?
We rode in a weasel in the back country of Alaska to go fishing and hunting. I was all of about 9 back in '62 so nut much remembered - except that I always wanted one.
Hey Big Mike,
Proof is in the pudding - first big joy ride! :driver:  :jumpin:
Temecula, right?
It looks like it.
I like how you are far enough away from the neighbors so there's no "Grey Poupon" instances. Time for a Gun Ring and a few bursts to scare the jack rabbits into submission...
Devin,
Try right clicking on one of the links and then save it to your desktop (or folder of your choosing). Locate the file in Windows explorer and double click that and you will be "in the mud".
I especially like the middle one (b) when you hear a guy say, "hah hah, not makin' it outa that...
Thanks Bjorn,
It seemed like a lot but not being familiar to the Deuce I wasn't sure.
Why do you suppose we have so much in there? After the Motor Pool keeps repacking the bearings the extra grease gets slung out during normal operations and they never bother to clean it out?
So, in reading all...
Found this doing a search to see what kind of grease to use on the bearings.
When I removed the outer axle bearing nut I tried tightening the inner axle nut just to see how tight it was as a reference "feel" for when I get it back together. I was able to turn it about 1/2 turn with no major...
To anyone going back to Howards or a member that has one:
I really need a M35A2 master cylinder top cap. If you have to, just grab the whole master cylinder (any condition) if time of of essence but all I need is the top cap. Let me know cost and I'll get money to you ASAP.
Thanks in advance
Wonder why this guy didn't do that.

I found out he's a contractor - of what they didn't say.
I let the air out of the subject tire and as it escaped I was exhaling (in harmony) a sigh of relief as well. Thanks Jones, I...
I tried to post this in the safety forum under the split rim thread but no place to upload pictures.
Question,
I am finally pulling the Deuce apart to fix the leaky axle seal and discovered a leaking wheel cylinder as well.
When I removed the outer wheel I noticed something unusual on...
