One MINOR word of warning about these particular parts (rear handle) from LMC. Not their fault, but they are made in China and SOME of them are poorly made pot metal.
I think I got those pieces from a Chevy dealer or perhaps from a Chevy parts house online for only a little more and they were...
And if you pass through DFW area and have ANY problems, contact me ASAP (I'm retired). I have an M1028A2 dually and a tow bar. And I've MADE that type of trip myself. Actually about twice that length...
There is a body shop I'm considering that charges $45 an hour. IF they estimate 10 hours, then I consider that a great deal. Probably an additional couple of hours per side, then the over all cost would be around $650 for both sides. I will do my own painting, so that's no problem or added...
David,
I LOVE that Naval Blue. I want to paint my 1991 GMC Suburban exactly that color. Can you post the paint codes you used.
And if you don't mind me asking, APPROXIMATELY what would fixing the rockers ADD to the paint job cost? My M1009 is pretty much a twin to that one. Low miles but...
Christmas time is here and my lovely wife has offered to host the MVCC Christmas party at out house in Keller.
I just sent out an invitation to everyone I have on the members list, but if you did not get one, shoot me an email or PM me.

Panz,
Welcome to Steel Soldiers and the green iron disease.
NICE LOOKING '09 for sure.
And winter in Moscow. Reminds me of winter in Denver, my former home.
Again, welcome.
Well, I finally finished the two pages for Veterans Day Parade and for the movie Red Dawn.
Veterans Day Parade - http://www.militaryvehiclecollectorclub.com/VETERANS%20DAY%20PARADE.html
Red Dawn Movie - http://www.militaryvehiclecollectorclub.com/RED%20DAWN%20MOVIE.html
I hate to say this, but I'm glad that the dates have moved back one week. The Dallas 2013 St. Patrick's Day Parade is on Sunday, March 17th and I'm hoping that the MVCC and the Arrowhead MVPA folks can put on an impressive show in downtown Dallas on that day.
Now, for the following weekend...
I've seen this ride close up. IT LOOKS SPECTACULAR.
G man, I've got another pix to add for you...
Did any of your other Red Dawn pics come out? If they did, send them to me. I'm working on that page for the site.
This guy would disagree with your friend as well. AND he has 30 years experience with the 6.2/6.5 diesel

I hope you are OK. Trailer still on the 'back 40' as it were. Waiting for pickup. Have not heard from Glenn yet.
Everything is good to go here.
Good luck. Love to see the new 5 ton.
M35 Mayhem,
Welcome to the Green Iron Disease.
There will be many more events coming up. I suspect the first big event will be the St Paddy's Day Parade in Dallas next year.
Can't help you with the cover, but have you checked the classified here? If not, we can start a search for you.
And...
G,
I suggest two pair of buckets. Talk to Mike Oliver. I just picked up two pair of brand new HEMMT seats for a great price. Drop by and see what I'm talking about as I'm going to put them in mine.
Love what you've done so far. Keep it up.

go the the thread John listed above. There has been a terrible accident in Midland with four dead and seventeen injured when a train struck the parade platform.
this event has been cancelled.
I was watching Fox News and there has been a terrible tragedy in Midland this afternoon.
The 18 wheeler pulling the parade trailer was struck by a train.
FOUR DEAD - SEVENTEEN INJURED
this is absolutely a nightmare for these folks.
my prayer go out for these wounded warriors and their...
Get a GREY dash pad, as it will take the bronze color much easier
And any auto paint shop should be able to mix up the bronze metallic - give them the code listed above
85 GM - 76D Bronze Metallic 3254 - SEM codes
OR
82 GM - 76DN Dk Bronze 3054 - SEM codes
I have a can of each, though...
SC,
Still got an M1009 - albeit one with much lower miles and a lot less rust than the one I was willing to trade you. I'm in the process of completely restoring it, just like the last one.
Congrats on Uncle letting you keep YOUR TRUCK - nice to be able to say it that way, eh?
I've got my eye...
We had eight WWII jeeps (GPWs), a 1942 1.5 ton, a Fox, four deuces and my M1028A2 dually
had a great time - this is the first parade MVCC has attended and we did so with the Arrowhead chapter of the MVPA here in DFW area.
On Sunday, some of us went out to the FUBARMOTORPOOL and had...
