are you rubbing any sheet metal?
4 inch lift looks pretty well done - I don't see any problems with it
Not meaning to ask a stupid question, but what did this do for your top end speed?
a medium towbar would be helpful at this point to get it home and work it at your shop at home
You've covered all the bases. Perhaps a bit more ether? I know many here don't like using it but you HAVE done everything else.
GOOD LUCK
if I were closer I would volunteer, but Texas is a long...
A few things come to mind.
I've flat towed my M1009 with my M1028A2 via a military tow bar when the temps was 105 in the dead of summer 850 miles.
Some of the things I did were -
Change the oil over to synthetics - I use Royal Purple, pick your own but I've had zero problems with RP
Engine...
John,
WORST CASE, I have a medium tow bar with the three different sets of feet
the small feet to tow a GPW
the regular feet to tow a CUCV or a deuce/5 ton
the set of feet that are axle clamps
worst case, drop me an email

May God smile on your family AND your truck and hopefully Uncle will allow you to keep it.
My very best to a very good person, upright and honest.
Funny how it seems in 'the real world' that is becoming a very rare thing. BUT HERE? You are just one of us.
I hope it all works out to your...
LMC Truck Parts - Page 13
it's page 13, not page 12 in the LMC catalog - page 12 is the page for pre-73 Blazers with the full sized roof
page 13 is for the post-73 with the shorter roof like on the M1009
FFH,
HE IS YOUNG - give him a few years - he's accomplished a lot in the short time he's been on this spinning orb
perhaps a nod to his youth, not a knock on it?
which has zippo to do with how he communicates to us - he got his message across, clear and concise and people want to criticize...
Nikkormat,
welcome to SS and the green iron disease
and ignore all those people who don't like how you type
you will notice the only caps I use is when I type 'I' or to designate a model number
regarding your choices. I own both an M1009 and an M1028A2 (dually) and moved from Denver to...
A VERY short taste of the 'Lt Dan Band' at the Sky Ball X event. Gary Sinise and company performed both Friday and Saturday nights.

A great time was had by all
more pix to follow
Welcome to the green iron disease.
You got a great score. Hopefully the price wasn't too high.
I flat love your tow rig. I have a soft spot for this era of trucks.
Keep us updated. WE LOVE PIX
One the UP SIDE, it appears the seats are in good shape.
I will concur that some of the wiring is ... umm... not factory installed as it were.
Finding and installing a Nato Slave plug is fairly easy.
It appears to be missing the battery hold down frames.
Drivers side rocker is rotted and...
That is a BA set up for sure.
I LOVE THE FAB JOB YOU DID ON IT!
Way to go. You've gotta post some pix once you start using it to pull stuff.
THAT IS A GREAT WINCH
How much did it weigh before you put it in place.
ntxcop,
You won't ACTUALLY GET A TITLE.
But what you will get is the 'SF-97' that you give to the State of Texas and THEY WILL ISSUE YOU A TITLE.
register it with bumper numbers - it's MUCH CHEAPER that way
and you know how to handle the whole 'drive it to club events' type of issues...
Love the overall look of your truck. Love the wheels/tires also.
Hey, you're young, a student, and hungry. Never a bad thing. Peanut butter/honey sandwiches will get you by.
Welcome to the green iron disease.
Well, the Sky Ball X is coming up.
We have been invited to display vehicles for this event.
We have eight vehicles and two trailers to show off. Might have a total of ten vehicles and two trailers, just waiting here back from two members.
Sky Ball
Gonna be a great time for sure.
That's a beauty for sure. And that looks like a mobile launcher in the background.
Both are sweet.
I have yet to winnow down ALL the pictures of the planes. Probably have over three hundred of those. In the next few days, I'll have that done and I'll post more.
Here is a Rhinolined Navistar truck I saw at SEMA last year...
In the third picture you can see someone actually touching the truck to check out it's over all texture - it was extremely rough to the touch
not a complaint or criticism, to me it still looks a wee bit shiny
not what I was...
