Mr. southdave:
I made and installed a gooseneck type (2-5/16" ball) hitch in my M-1028.
I know there is fifth wheel hitch assembles available. You could
check with the RV dealers for info.
Thanks, Pvt. Hotdog
Who was that driving a CUCV north bound on hwy 321 south of Columbia, South Carolina near the state farmers market at around 10AM today?
Tan colored M-1008. It had to be a SS because it had a pioneer rack with tools on the brush guard.
The truck looked very good, made me want to quit work, go...
"I have NOT experienced any sudden loss of steering control at least not in a noticeable amount… not YET that is… eek."
Mr. Extra245:
Yes you have. Please, please do not drive that truck again until you find and fix the problem.
The TM's will help you trouble shoot the problem.
Thanks, Pvt. Hotdog
You Guys are to funny. I feel better after reading your posts. Now what else can I bring home? Should I put a Hooker and a 5th in the front seat with me when I bring the Suburban home?
The windshield is missing. The fan is laying in the floor board. When I went to unlock the steering wheel to...
Saved another M 1008 on Tuesday. I have been draging OD stuff home for a very long time. This is very hard to admit, but my Wife is correct. There is something wrong with me. I am addicted to OD!
Don't tell her, I am eyeballing a 1985 4x4 Suburban with AC, AT and PW.
Thanks, Pvt Hotdog
Sarge29:
You have a deal. I will trade you a steering wheel (without snot) for your snoted steering wheel. I will deliver the good wheel to you but you have to get rid of the Gorilla shot wheel. That way you can't trick me into steering the snot wheeled 09 again. Deal?
Thanks, Pvt. Hotdog
Mr. keefer:
Several years ago I got stuck driving my motorcycle in the winter, you are correct no fun at 28 degrees.
Have you tried cracking the fuel cap? It sounds like the tank may be building pressure or vacuum and over powering the mechanical fuel pump. I will keep thinking about your...
Mr. pctrans:

Hey Sarge29:
Thanks for posting the video of the road test. I know how much time and money
you have put into that 998. You have done a great job as always.
Thanks, Your Friend Hotdog
I had the same symptom / problem a while back. The connection that Mr. Stonepicker1 noted was the problem on my truck. It took some time to track it down. Good luck.
Thanks, Pvt Hotdog
Mr. gigabelly:
Don't be to hard on yourself. I know plenty of guys that would not even attempt to do the work you did. You will learn from this adventure.
Thanks for sharing with us all.
Thanks, Pvt Hotdog
Mr. paramilusmc:
That is the trailer listed in the TM for the M 1009. It handles it very well.
Did you know that trailer is designed to float? Your rig look very good. Thanks for the pictures.
Thanks, Pvt. Hotdog
