I have been wanting to do the same thing, it is great to see someone else do the RnD... thank you... $70.00 sounds high for a gauge but if you think about the price of a new electric pressure sending unit that won't work any better then what we have now ( I have swapped 2 sending units still...
I can get you a measurement with stock wheels/tires. Fuzzytoaster can get you numbers with 395s.. we Both have M915a1s with sliding 5th wheels, I have seen some M915 (A0 with the cat trans) have a fixed 5th wheels on spacers above the frame make sure you know which one you have. it will change...
I have also looked over every Crew cab conversion I can find. I also have made my mind up that Fabing the extra room would be the best plan, also leaning to sticking with 2 doors with the large extension behind. Another idea I am throwing around is a full replacement cab. Like you said the OEM...
I am actually headed to Carnac's right now but am only staying in El Paso an hour or two then headed right back to San Antonio.. Going to NDT's Next weekend. So if you want something brought back from Carnac's you have about 7 hours before I get there... I will be in a pickup and will already...
I am going with a 50bmg on the gun-ring (I am cheap and using a 3/4 ring from an 113-114 apc) on the roof, 50bmg on a post guarding the rear, and 1 M240B/M60 on each side) 4 total guns. And a Big Push Bumper.
my inspiration to combine these 3 trucks
I have had problems finding 12x20s NDTs, I do believe they are on the same budd wheels as a standard M809series 5-tons (also A0 M939series) maybe someone on here has a honey hole somewhere and will chime in.
I am sorry to hear about this. All it takes is a little person with a speck of power to $&#$ up a easily rectified situation. It sounds like you contacted the main office and they did no better to fix the problem.. Good customer service or any customer service is truly a surprise not expected...
If you Lengthen the OEM Lower Bracket it will allow you to use the Factory Belt and keep the whole fleet on the same belts. Better interchange of parts if you have multiple trucks or travel a lot. It really only helps if you have multiple trucks. I also am a big fan of the 21si Alternators...
Agree if you are going to put them up for sale give us a shot first or let us know when you do put them up for sale somewhere else.
Great looking work..
I am sure with CMS Davis there is some more goodies being add. Time will tell all... I have a little project along the same line.
It is a good place to start.
I personally am loving the Mix matched door and red primer spots on this truck.. Looks like an old war horse already.
Meeting up bright and early at Bill Millers? Planing on bringing the wrecker. Saturday night is soft reopening of San Antonio Raceway so I might end up leaving a bit early from the Rim.
