OH BOY I guess it's a good thing that the price of gas has went down.
So is the bad MPG because of the weight of the truck ( you have to keep your foot into it to get it up to speed and hold it there).
Under powered for the weight of the truck so ...(see above).
Or ???
I guess what I'm...
Look up the tm in the resource tab up top, I'm not sure of the number off hand but you'll be able to print out the Tm or just the pages you'll need.
Plus everyone here is a wealth of knowledge:)
I read someone swapping to a Zenith carb and getting alot better performance out of the 6602.
Saturn has then on their website for 125.00, might be worth a try.
I talked to the owner about this truck in July, I offered him $900.00 sight unseen.
He turned me down, I couldn't get an answer from him on what he thought the truck was worth.
Great save, I'm glad someone on SS saved it. I was thinking about driving up to look at it, but I haven't sold my single axle GMC yet so mamma might give me the look if I was to bring a second dump home.
I bought mine from Lousiana, runs good, body is extremely clean, only has a slight leak between the transmission/transfer case.
I might be willing to trade for a duece.
PM me if your interested.

When I picked up my 101 from IN I checked the air in the tires and jacked it up and felt the bearings, everything was a-ok. Pulled behind a Dodge 1tn like a dream, I had to get use to backing up such a short trailer kinda forgot what it was like......
Good luck and take pictures:)
RE: scrap 84 m1009
I'm interested but further North in south eastern Wisconsinabout 25 minutes from WI/IL line, if you'd like to bring it this way...................I'd hate to see you dump it I could use some parts off of it.
PM me if your'd like to work something out.

I just used mine to drop off scrap steel, I was shocked when I drove over the scale after dumping the steel and it showed that I had 3k lbs of steel in the trailer.
The trailer barely even squated when I was loading it, but I could tell once I started to pull it that it had a load in it.
It...
Great story! It's good to hear about the good with the bad on flat towing, I paid to have my bobbed 5tn shipped and it was easy to work out the details with the driver. All I had to do was wakeup and walk out my front door and unload it.
But some of the fun was when my dad and I spent the day...
I purchased mine off of ebay as a project, for what I bought it for and what was already done I thought it was a good price.
If you have a spare truck I'd say GO FOR IT! Post pictures of your progress and if you need some pictures of what was done and what i'm doing to mine let me know.
Good...
RE: how much does a duece motor weigh
I'll build one but someone needs to give me an engine to use for a mock up.
I'll trade an engine for a stand---- Pm me if your interested.
I bought a project truck and am finishing up on the bob, installing a winch, rear wiring harness was missing etc.
It's a M54 still running the Continental gas engine, but I was thinking of swapping in a multifuel and trying to run waste oil through it.
What are looking to BOB?
