I am looking for a single sheave block from a MV wrecker to be used on the 45k winch with 7/8 cable. Anybody have one? or Two?
I also have an extra double sheave block for the above winch/cable that I might be willing to trade/sell. It is BIG and HEAVY. Honestly, it is big/heavy enough that it...
As a chase truck your probably much more in line with what these trucks were designed for in the first place.
Depending on how much stuff you want/need to carry and if you want it inside out of the eyes of those with sticky fingers you might do well to consider a M820. Google that and you'll...
Not in all states and not in all situations.
Many states make it very easy to alleviate that requirement when the truck is privately owned and not used in commerce.
This topic of course has recently been beat to death and there are many extensive threads discussing this issue. Lets not hijack...
LOL... here you go....

Be advised... this AIN'T NO DEUCE... But you'll sure as heck want one just like it!! :)
Welcome to SS !!
"Box truck" AKA M109 or "flat bed"
Which one???
All depends on what you want to do with it. Look at it this way... If you were to buy a "Normal" size pick up, for your use would a topper be better or a standard open bed? What are you going to haul in/on it? Below I'll list...
"but primarily for their swiftness" - Sounds like "Military Intelligence" at work here if your implying that any Deuce is even sort of "Swift" in movement... ("Swiftly sinking in the mud" does not really count)
Sounds almost as sensible as the scooter commercial where they say the old woman was...
I have often wondered why more people don't make use of that space for... something. Your gen mount is a great use of it. Good going!
Be very careful trying to run that gen inside a box. They overheat very easily when in any kind of enclosure.
Lance,
I goggled "Swrench" and after telling goggle that I really wanted the "S" in front of wrench all it came up with was items like the one pictured below. I'm pretty sure this is not what your talking about. Do you have any pictures of the tool your talking about?
I like that all in 1...
Thanks guys!
Got the whole manual from the logsa site downloaded and already started reading it! Found the basic dimensions I need and lots more for me to read later!
Thanks again!
I have looked and once found some of the info on the M129 but I have yet to find the (Downloadable) TM that has all the measurements and operational instructions for the M129.
At this point I am especially interested in the measurements since I own one but have yet to be able to go see it and...
Here is a link that might help.
Wire Rope | IWRC
Not the only place to get this stuff but they do have a good selection and their prices seem reasonable.
Here is another one: http://www.certifiedslings.com/catalog/
I have been to their retail store in Tampa, FL. If they don't have it, you...
I could not agree more!
Hopefully you have CNC machines to knock them out for you.
I'm interested in probably 2 or 3 now/ASAP/Very soon and probably 1 or 2 more later.
When you figure out a price, please let us know!!
a 24 volt system uses 1/2 the amperage of a 12 volt system. A typical 12 volt dome light would be hard pressed to use more than maybe 2 amps. Assuming adequate sized wire a 5 amp fuse would be more than enough. Keeling in mind that a 24v system uses 1/2 the amperage, a 2 amp fuse should be...
Westfolk, are you meaning locking hubs for the 916/920?? (I ask because I have heard of somebody working on hubs for the 5 ton but nothing at all about somebody working on 916/920 hubs....) Any further info?? Timeline? Estimated pricing? Availability? ... Anything at all you can add?
If it is not asking to much... Could you please summarize, in one post, all the mods you did to get the increased MPG? Also, in that same post, any issues (like the leak) what you did to resolve the issue and how that ultimately affected your MPG?
Also, did you notice any MPG increase from...
7'6"? That is the height of the door opening on the standard container. The height of the door opening is not really relevant. The page posted in this particular link does not show the number that is relevant, that being the overall outside height.
The quote below is from my post back on page...
