Hey cool! You have their phone number??
Can I borrow $45,000? (I'll have to ship it you know....)
I see.. Yes, that would seem to make sense. I missed the wheel well cut outs. Must have been camouflaged behind all that white mess in your yard. rofl
Holy candle power Batman.... $135.00 !!!
That must be the "Golden Hammer" Government price for those things.
As much as I hate using that "bay" auction site I tried it. Fond one "Buy it now" for..... $137.49 !!! That was the only on on the bay site. They did have a set of 4 new LED lights...
I would like to get a couple of these lights... but what do you call them? Is there a part number or specific name that I can search for?
I saw mention of a place called "Erick's" but no contact info for them...:?:
Help Cecil help....
Back in the 80's I owned a "Off road extrication service" I had set rates, proper licenses, proper insurance, damage waivers to be signed by the vehicle owner, plenty of properly rated equipment and training/experience to use it.
I had a vehicle and equipment able to get into places that normal...
Every time I see a show with the TIV it gets broken. And I am pretty sure that is 100% of the times I have seen it. The suspension, engine, trans and differentials have all failed at critical moments, (Usually at some point during the chase sidelining the crew). I know they have build 2 or maybe...
It looks a lot like the S-280, right at the same width only shorter.
At 7' wide it will not fit into the bed of a CUCV though. That is as wide as the S-250 and that sits up on the sided of the bed.
That box would be good for somebody that wanted a box on a Deuce but also wanted some bet left...
Well lacking an official hardness tester that time honored test is usually pretty good indicator. I have a 2" pin where I'll be tomorrow, I'll check that one and see. Looks like it might not be an issue. Thats good as it will make the parts less expensive...
Wow... Cool...! Email inbound!
I'm not real worried about data plates, I want to use the box not read it...lol.
(I assume you saw the measurements in the drawing above? - Roughly 87x87x87 with a single door centered on one end)
LOL... No problem at all.
Looks like I'm going to need more than just luck to find a S-749 I think they are "Vaporware" as nobody has yet come forward to say that they have ever even seen one in person...lol..
Anybody?? Anybody at all???
Buler? Buler?
Maybe I can get the Goggle Master, AKA...
I wonder if the king pin or the hitch plate is heat treated? Do you have a hardness tester?
I'm not saying that the adapters SHOULD be heat treated, only that it is something to be considered. If neither the pin or plate are heat treated then I don't see the need to do the adapters. On the...
Does anybody have a downloadable copy of the TM's for the M916A1?
Especially looking for the ones that tell you how to operate the truck and the ones that give you all the detailed specifications. The repair manual would be nice too if I can get it.
(I have them for the M920 / M916 the A1 is...
Cool. Thanks! I went to their site and saw the part but no price, (No price on anything on their site - seems an odd way to do business). I sent them an email asking the price. However... It looks like we may have a USA source soon!
Great news Jeff! I assume they will be steel. Will they be...
Did we get that part number? Approximate cost?
If you make the change Of course that eliminates the ability to haul a trailer with the 3 1/2 king pin.
I know most (All?) civilian trailers use the 2". What military trailers use the 3 1/2?
Is there an adapter like the one abive that is commercialy available?
I Googled but found nothing.
Can the plate on the 920 (Just the plate part) be changed to a 2" and leave the tilting part working?
Yeah, I thought about that (driveshaft/pinion speed). But... Assuming the max speed is no higher than stock (58mph) the shaft/pinion speed remains the same, just the engine RPM is less.
I will however stop in at the local custom driveshaft shop and see how much of a shaft/pinion RPM increase...
