Point well taken. Will make sure to wear proper PPE to avoid breathing any of that cr@p in!
I could use the M128 and install a few windows so that model would work as well, IF I can find one...
M129 or M128, either one....
And a shower tops all of that! :)
A few weeks ago somebody posted some pictures of a really nice unit they built from a 101 or 105 trailer. They removed the running gear from a pop-up camper and mounted it on top of the trailer. It looked really nice. I'll see if I can find the thread and...
OK, that makes sense. Define "Larger trucks". Do you mean commercial trucks as opposed to RV size or military trucks as opposed to civilian?
I guess the pins are different sizes just like hitch balls are different sizes. Now I have to learn why/what of 5th wheel king pins... And stupid me I...
Oh, that is not good.. And it is exactly the reason I want a SS member to lay eyes on the vehicle and seller.
I don't know the seller.
I'll send you a PM with the info I do have. Hopefully it is not the same seller.
Anybody available to go give it a look?
Most likely something like a M146 or M129 (If I can find a M129) Or a civilian trailer about 20-30' long. Whichever it ends up being, it will be built up as an RV.
Will also get a 35-45' lowboy to use for... whatever... :)
Northeast Polk Co, not to far from Polk City.
Rayzer,
Thanks for the info, and thanks in advance for the measurements. I don't have a 146 but I have a member willing to sell me one.
On your advise I looked up the M129 (Also found the M127 in the same TM). The 129 may be an even better fit for me than the 146 as it is just a bit longer...
I bet he could unload that thing, rent it out by the hour to all the grown up's with construction worker fantasies and pay for his trip!
If he does, and if I get to go, I know I'll be in line for my turn!
Outstanding DH, Thanks!!
I did find #1 and 2 but not 3 and 4.
3: Distance from the front wall to the front (leading) edge of the side door.
4: Distance from the front edge of the trailer to the center of the king pin.
Since I see you have one let me ask you this, how tall are you and do...
EDITED TO ADD - This post was made in response to a post that indicated there was a shelter with plates for both the S-250 and S749. The OP of that post realized that was not correct and has deleted his post. My response below was directed towards answering that...
Has anybody ever seen a S-749 shelter for sale?
Does anybody have one for sale?
I did a SS search for "S-749" and only got 2 returns, read them both, no help in either.
Thanks in advance.
Anybody live in or close to Smithville, OK?
There is a truck there I would really like to have somebody put eyes on and see if it is a real deal, good to go as the ad says or what.
If you can/will be able to assist please let me know ASAP....
Thanks in advance!!
Not sure this should be in this forum or the trailer forum but since it is on the truck, not on the trailer.....
I have been told that some of the 5th wheel plates used by the military have a side to side tilting feature. Apparently there are some wedges you insert to limit the movement while...
I tried to find a TM that would show these numbers but I have been unable.
All I need is:
1: Inside height (Floor to ceiling)
2: Total outside height from the ground to the top of the roof. And since it affects the height, what size tires you have.
3: Distance from the front wall to the...
Not so much the MPG gain that I am after (But I'll sure take any and all MPG gain I get!) I'm more interested in being able to cruise the interstate at 70 and not have the engine running at max RPM the entire time.
I wonder if anybody makes an axillary overdrive unit that I could slide in...
For those interested in Lego....
The Cypress Garden Adventure Park that originally opened in 1936 (Well before Disney World) closed in 2009. The main attraction was the professional water ski shows and the hundreds of acres of botanical gardens. They also had assorted rides similar to a theme...
