Yet another welcome from Cincinnati. One warning about Haspin. If you do come to check it out, you'll be hooked for sure.

    new guy from OH

From his post above, he comes from a secret location in Ohio. If he makes it to Haspin it would surely be incognito.

Oil Filter Gaskets? NAPA Doesn't Show PN.

That is correct. The other ring was the perfect fit for the plastic blackout headlight.

    Steering Stabilizer

The other thread prompted me to post the photos. I finished my set up 2 months ago. No plans for a kit. Just sharing ideas.

    Steering Stabilizer

This thread got the gears turning for me. After some violent steering feedback in the mud ruts at Haspin, I thought it worth a try. The truck has 900x20 NDCC tires all around. The damper is a Monroe 555949 Gas Magnum RV steering damper. Plenty of stroke at 12.25 inches. Rockauto - $29 Brackets...

    alternator burning

The alternator came from Pat's Small Engine Plus. Part # AHADR0009. It's a Delco 27SI style 24 volt 65 amp alternator. The bracket set came from George, user name " tm america " on this forum. The brackets work very well. They use the original belts. You will need to bore the pulley from the...

    alternator burning

This all sounds too familiar. My A2 had similar problems this past Spring. It charged fine but there would be a light sweet burning smell at times. One day it quit charging. I looked around and found evidence of arcing between the alternator battery connection and the sheetmetal cover. I...

2012 Cincy-area Vets' Day Parade, Sun. NOV 4

I'm with Sparky on this one. From Southbound 75, take Galbraith Road , exit 10. Go left on Galbraith, go about 0.6 miles, then turn right onto 126 West. Get off 126 at Hamilton Ave. Go south on Hamilton Ave to Galbraith (the next large intersection). Right on Galbraith and the first right onto...

2012 Fall Haspin Rally 2 Multimedia Thread

It appears the guy in the Jeep was just dumping out his empty beer cans. You'd think there would be an easier way.

    2012 Fall Haspin Rally 2

I made it home safely yesterday evening. The bulk of the mud I left there with didn't make it to my driveway. On the way back, cars would zoom up on my bumper then quickly drop back as they found themselves on the losing end of a mudball fight. As always, the company was great. It was nice...

2012 Haspin Fall Rally Head Count

I had a change in plans and will be arriving about 7:30 Saturday morning. It will be a day trip for me this time. Eagle is bringing eggs and sausage. I'll have the rest for Saturday breakfast. Everyone have a safe trip . Dave

2012 Haspin Fall Rally Head Count

Bring the eggs and I'll take them off my list. Fresh are always better than what I can get at the grocery store. Don't know what to tell you about the sausage but I would think 5 to 8 lbs would be in the ballpark.

2012 Haspin Fall Rally Head Count

I was planning on bringing 10 packages of turkey bacon, 5 dozen eggs and 5 dozen English muffins. I have the bacon but haven't picked up the eggs yet. If you want to bring eggs let me know how many more I need to bring. I do not like them here or there. I do not like them anywhere. I do not...

    Deuce oil leaks

It doesn't leak a little, I can watch oil running down the pan rail and dripping on the ground while it runs. It didn't occur to me that blue sealer would work on a green truck. You have enlightened me. Thanks Steve.

    Deuce oil leaks

Back in the day as a Jaguar technician we called it British rustproofing. Thanks for all the responses. I've tried Memphis, Saturn, Eric's and e#ay with no luck. I might be cutting gaskets soon.

    Deuce oil leaks

When I bought this thing a year ago it would leave a small oil spot under the engine. The source was the oil filter housing. That was resealed and the lifter covers were tightened. It's all pretty dry up there now. The transmission and transfer case always have a drop hanging from them. The...

    2012 Fall Haspin Rally 2

I'm still on board to bring stuff for Saturday morning breakfast. I will have 8 lbs. of turkey bacon, 5 dozen eggs and 5 dozen English muffins. I'll have a 2 burner Coleman stove with a griddle, so another cooking source will most likely be needed. Unfortunately, no green eggs and ham.

    Shock poll

I chose the yellow ones but painted them olive (drab) and I like them much better now. The ride and handling is superior with green shocks.
