Have you looked at reversing the hubs and turning the SS wheels with the dish out on the rear? They look better and give a wider stance. The 395 is plenty big as single on A3 (11"wide) rims....unless you play in a river a lot. Buy lockers instead of the second set of tires and wheels.
The Canadian example is a great argument since the engine is changing too in the OP post and putting the hp, rpm and torque up. I had multifuel in mind. Still, axle gears seem to be the place to bring the deuce to safe highway, not turning driveshaft faster.
I like the challenge that the...
I don't have anything to add, but if not gaining OD, would stay with the 545, due to weight and size. Axle ratio is what Iwant to change. I would use the 4L80E direct clutch high performance in it.
Did you have many across wires? That is moving a lot of timber, anvil.
I made a trailer out of my m35 bed and the wind always seemed to find my cover tie downs weakest point. Once it looked like it went straight up. I don't trust grommets or politicians or the Facebook dude that sells our...
I seem to have only one pair of left and right thread and several of the right hand thread. I don't have the 5 ton to measure, what is the tube length ? I can get 35.5" using the pair, more if I sleeve it.(with quality weld).
Okay...but if you chose the SS bed, the 50 years in design difference make it have anything but an original appearance. They can be made fit rather easy. It would seem you keep trying for an oem if welding is not your mo.
How are you checking engagement? The front turns at a different rpm than the rear and the sprag does not lock in unless the rear is slipping. The front is like 16/1 and the rear is 17/1. Sprag releases the difference. You should hear the cylinder shifting forward to reverse but no air leaks...
I have a bunch of new tie rods with ends that I got years ago at a salvage yard. They made me cut them in half, but they were new. I don't know about size but Ill go get one and see.
What I don't see is the thread part in your video.
I checked and the thread seems to be 1 1/4"- 12 and the...
The 327, 350 are good alternative crate engines too and yes, I like the alternative to OEM. Would seem more efficient to do tranny at the same time as engine. What gears do you have? With higher rpm for today's engine, rpm may be an issue. Did you search for prior discussion ?
That is a 13.19" bolt circle (I think) which is the MRAP and also the same as 25,000 lb agriculture hub....but not the 923. The tires will work on your 923 single rims...they appear to be 395/85/r20
Bolt is behind ram so it cannot actuate. Has to be close to ram so there is no play. These are supposed to be free backing but I don't always trust them. Look to see if the leverage loosened up the Reece (square in square) hitch.
I'm with csmDavis....too small hitch. Consider a ball.
I have replaced two jail high security system that used DC and the reason they failed was the connectors that made them "modular"....just plug together. I found a "boundary effect" between the wire and the multi pen connectors, eat away the copper wire and stop making contact. Most would just...
They work best when as near the wheel as possible and at 90* to the up down travel. Also the shackle angle matters, is best at around 15*. I went with 10 leafs and air for overloads. I don't have the topmount built yet. With stiff springs and 16.00, they would seem to have only a small...
