Can it be used to charge a trailer set of batteries? What could limit the flow (amps) so it does not burn up? Like for batteries on a dump trailer or ??
Maybe one of the vendors will have the half you are looking for. Mine is being re-used.
On mine, those 7 wires ( from the connector) now go to a control box and a 3 wire so cord goes from the control box to each light... which are all now LED with high and low. Being one of the slowest...
I had a 1078 bed, new, and decided the more than 50 years difference in design made an oil-water combination (putting on the deuce). But wow, the guy that bought it put it on a brand new 4x4 big crew cab and it looked incredible. He cut and welded every possible direction.
It seem the simple...
I don't see it as being too difficult if you are good at cutting while hugging the floor. You will need to keep both sides of the cut useable, like using a long fine tooth saws all blade held down against the floor. Then use angle to weld back on the bottom of the side plus make hinge. Put...
You don't have as much front overhang as expected. Making trailer from the back of a pickup works too. I made a trailer from a dually and it pulled great.
I have to admit not spending much time on m35a3 air system and will have to before long ( in rebuild and 4x4). I guess I'll have 2 brake air packs and air assist steering. I'll. Be putting on an auxiliary tank for some tools too. Do you have any idea on the quantity of air or would that...
We have done well at rebuilding the 1545 and at reasonable prices,
The 545 is plentiful and rebuilding them can use the high performance 4th from 4l80e
Do I have to go 65.....no...But on my 4x4 with 50/50 brakes, I think it could be safe and fuel efficient for longer trips on today's roads...
If you were 4x4, changing front and rear ratio and putting in air locks, would be way cool and use the 1545.
Maybe Derrik has that core and you put the high performance "direct" clutch of the 4l80e with steel Piston. Even the locking tc can be improved.
Edit....had in mind this was an...
Like said above, pay attention to the center of gravity and have a few hundred pounds tongue weight. You may need a space so it is not against the bed front, like 12". Plan on a serious long tongue modification and keep the surge brake. Here is a mod I did to lock out the surge actuator...
I can't reply to why this is happening but I think "caging" the brake, will release it. Of course it is entirely inoperable then, but it might give room to get it apart.
I started off dedicating an 1101 to my S788 camper project but went ahead and made a trailer with a Dexter axle. Yours will look better painted....and/or on the back of an HMMWV.
Not possible. I drive too far onto my soft dirt when filling a hole (backing onto the pile) and need it in muck for both backing and then especially forward when loaded. Loads of the muck are a one shot deal, like working on top of a bowl of jello. If my fuel was turned up some, it might do...
Then even though it is turning the output of the Allison and the back end of the tranny, it is not turning the engine side with the pump to stay properly lubed. With no pressure, the Allison may not know what clutch to engage. Maybe it could try to go into two gears at once... just...
