Opcom, Hey what can I say, Some guy's have bigger pipes than others.;-) but i guess if it were a real tight engine it would not rock with the blade. I would say 9 out of 10 of the engines I have tried it on would move back and forth. One more thought ,if it was really beat on ,it could have...
That is a shame to scrap. I think the pump has 4 bolts and it pops off. It has ben a while since i pulled it off. I wonder if that engine is good? might find a home up here?
I have no complaints with my Multi powerd M51. The only thing that is nice to have is the upgraded steering. The Cummins is nice but I like the swill factor of the Multi. Go for it.
Were the plugs in the bottom of the bell housing? You could have a bellhousing full of mud. Take a look in there. Does the trans and clutch feel "right". have you tried to rock the engine back and forth with the fan blade. How deep was the mud?
I am with Engine5, The facts Man The facts. I seem to remember the Chinease head and nozzles were about the cost of an American head, if you can find one. but I could be wrong. I have tried to contact that manufacturer before with no response?
That truck is not too bad. the rear pto is worth some coin. the parts are Military spec, but easy to come by. if it is reasonable jump on it. keep in mind the old gassers purr but guzzel the fuel. does it have full air brakes? I see the parking brake on the dash.
850 cca Wally specials, no failures yet and 2 yrs free replacement. under $200 .They start well in Michigan cold weather. I have had 10 6tl's to trade in for core some were only 2 yrs old. I will never buy a 6 tl boat anchor !! Yes make shure the terminals are tight ! I had a fire work display...
I agree on the sprag, although the switch could be missing. is that a m151 style heater? I would go look at it,and others, don't be set in stone on one truck or you will most likley pay more as there are others eyeing it up also. good luck
I don't mind a non-assist Deuce. it is a little tight at a stop but once it is rooling it is ok. my five ton is easier to drive ,a real differance. I would not spend the green for an air assist. I would buy a five ton for the extra cash. i do not like the NDT's in ice and snow,a little scary at...
I bought a new one from a member here. it made the truck run like new. with all the work to replace it ,i would go with a new one. i have had mixed results with used parts of that sort. ;-)
My 812 takes alot to turn it around. I think it is due to the wheel spacers. even with it singled out, i have de-barked some trees. you could remove the spacers and run 1100x20's that would get you back to what all the other 5 ton's wheel base is. I also agree on the air pack diagnostic.
OH ,I must be in the wrong place. I thought this was the place to get answers to MV questions, Not get pissy when you get an answer you did not want to hear. Do you always buy items without reading the fine print ? I have a bridge for sale.
