I think there is only one battery on the laundry trailer. It may be a 24 volt. It's really big. I'd have to go out and check. The sun is just coming up over the mountain so it is still a little dark out.
Bjorn,
Not having identical batteries will make that much of a difference? Mine are definitely not the same. I did have two of the same when I got the Mite but they lost their charge in the cold weather here. I replaced them with what was available from NAPA and as you know, you can't always...
I came across this amongst my stuff. I don't know what it is worth and I have no use for it. It's dated 1945 and has charts for the entire US of the radio locations. Very interesting book but since I am not a radio person, it's all Greek to me.
I'm having a problem with my Mighty Mite. One of my batteries keeps draining and not getting recharged when I run the engine. I've replaced the battery with a new one and the same thing happened. It's the battery that has the positive lead to the starter. There aren't any shorts or breaks in...
RE: Re: Looking for a 1009, running
I've got mine listed on Craigslist in Reno. If someone wants to buy it, I will drive it to the east coast for them. Just cover my feul. I really need to sell it since I want to buy a Suburban. The truck is in great shape and I love driving it but I've...
I need a Jeep hauled from Ft. Lauderdale to NJ, Aberdeen, or Virginia Beach. Anyone coming up this way empty?
Send me a PM. I'd like to get this done before Aberdeen.
Thanks!
I just installed a new Walbro 24 volt electric fuel pump in my Mighty Mite. It's hooked up according to the inlet and outlet. However when I turn it on, I get air blowing through the inlet. So, I switched the lines figuring it was mismarked. Same thing but more air. I put the lines back to...
Brian,
Just make sure you go to a tire place that can work on the rims. A truck place is where I went. While they aren't split rims, they do have lock rings.
RE: Re: RE: Electric Gremlin-- M1009
I'm no electrical guru. Just wanted to get that out there.
I would really consult the wiring diagrams before spending the money on a starter. If the truck died while driving, it's not the starter. You can check the fusible links with an ohmmeter, test...
John,
It was probably someone from New York right?
I agree with tamangel...get a police report. You've now got a hit and run on your hands and it needs to be reported. You know enough cops in the Central Jersey Military Motor Pool club that can help you out. (Like the plug for the club?)
