    Cheap 24VDC Battery Tender?

I bought all my sprockets, chains, shaft collars, large bearings, etc... to automate a dillon 1050 with an old lifestyler treadmill. I'm a BIG fan of surpluscenter. Their prices are excellent.

No. It'll hurt your deuce. Ship it to me for proper disposal.

Can you legally own a functional T34?

I believe the gun would have to be deactivated to get it imported. You could register it as a DD (1934 NFA) afterward and get it fixed, tho.

    Cheap 24VDC Battery Tender?

If you just immediately checked voltage after taking the batts off the charger, that was probably surface charge. To get a more accurate reading, measure voltage after it's been off the charger a few hours.

And Yet Another Way To Bob A Deuce!

Very nice... but, I hope you don't actually run the truck at 2900 rpm. It's only rated for 2600 and some people have had connecting rods let loose at 2500.

    M35 vs M813???

They did make air-powered assisted steering kits for the deuce. They run a grand or more by themselves.

    Hydrogen Generator

IIRC, Mercedez or somebody made a car that re-used some of the exhaust heat to power a Stirling type engine for increased overall efficiency.

    Hydrogen Generator

I was under the impression that petroleum refiners and engine manufacturers long, long ago agreed upon certain formulations of fuel as most efficient and least damaging. My car manual says to put 87 octane in it. Others call for 89 or 91. I highly doubt my car will run more efficiently if I...

    Hydrogen Generator

Why would adding pure hydrogen to a hydrocarbon make it burn "more efficiently?" What do you mean it won't notice the increase in draw from the alternator? Of course it will. The fact that the the engine is capable of providing the power necessary to crack the water has nothing to do with it...

    Post purchase Inspection San Antonio

Sure, I'll PM you my number. Dunno what good I can do you, but if nothing else I can bring the bar. Yes, it's a large. I said over 120 pounds... it could well be 200+ pounds. It's all I can do to lift one end of it and I'm a healthy 28 year old male. The feet it came with are totally...

    Post purchase Inspection San Antonio

I'd go with his medium. My large one can be handled by one person, but it isn't supposed to be. I know it's gotta weigh over 120 pounds. Either way, I'm down near Beeville, which is about 110 miles south of Ft. Sam, so you'd have to go further this way, too.

    Post purchase Inspection San Antonio

What size pin are the shackles on the pickup truck going to use? The feet on my bar will work with either the M1009 size or the M35A2 size (two sets of holes, offset from eachother). I have no idea if it would work for your application.

What kind of towbar and what are you trying to do? I've got a large with the dual purpose feet, so you could theoretically use it to tow a deuce with a deuce. But I wouldn't reccommend doing that for any great distance.

Gl put my purchase in the abandonment section

Whether or not you can get an extension can also largely depend on how much pressure is put on the particular site manager to get rid of crap to make room for new crap. Never hurts to call. Most of the ones I've talked to will work with you and give you a little leeway on the 10 business day...

    Middle axle out of alignment

Did you at least take the opportunity to paint the undercarriage?

    Middle axle out of alignment

I rolled it back and forth in a straight line and the axles are lined up again. Checked the dogbones and none were bent. The bushings were pretty dry rotted looking tho. On second thought, that may have been cracked paint. I'll look again. Didn't try to move the dogbones around tho, I'll...

    Middle axle out of alignment

Thanks gill, those pics and explanation do help. Great suggestions fellas. I'm glad I didn't just blindly rush in there with a bottle jack and make it worse.

    Middle axle out of alignment

Thanks guys, I will give that a try and take pictures of everything I can and post them here this evening.

    Middle axle out of alignment

No impact damage of any sort. The paint is even pretty near perfect. The truck was overhauled in 92 tho. And the rear tires are all nice and worn, which makes me suspect it was simply installed wrong. I didn't know the axles were supposed to be able to slide left or right. Hm... are you...
