Picked up another deuce today at Ft. Sam It's a whistler. It's got that distinctive whhrl just like my pampered deuce.
However... I noticed another noise that started around 38 - 40 mph. A sort of high pitched jet engine scream noise that increased in pitch the faster I went.
Take the...
None that I could see.
Remember to use a regulator if you're going to apply some pressure to the MC.
Also, don't be afraid of the WC rebuild kits. The problems with WCs that I've generally found isn't with the body itself, but with the internal parts. The rebuild kits are actually quite a...
Just made it back with my latest deuce. And I even got to OFFROAD it on the way home.
Got off I-37 to get a little diesel, then got back on the frontage road and drove that for a few miles... until it just ran out. Backed up a couple hundred yards and took the slightly beaten path back onto...
Did he say if any of the accessories had juice when he flipped the switch? If so, did the starter make any noise at all when he pushed the button?
If nothing else, you could try to push/pull start it.
The brakes could be simple, too. Might just need to be bled. Or the WCs might be stuck...
Not really necessary.
They're all in the same yard pretty close together. After I get done on mine, I'll just walk over to yours, hop in, and press the brake pedal a few times. I'll check the batts too, but I can pretty much guarantee you're going to need to either jump it, push start it, or...
I got 7102 and my EUC back for it last wednesday. I'm going up to bleed the brakes, swap batts, and top off the master cylinder tomorrow for (hopefully) a drive-off recovery on wednesday.
I could take a look at yours while I'm there. 4875 for the event, right?
eta: Unless you're the guy who...
Looking at my invoice for the latest deuce, I misread it and thought they were applying vehicle tax. Which is a no-no.
But that got me curious. Turns out, they DID apply Texas sales tax of $106.36 (8.1250%) to a deuce I bought out of Ft. Sam back in July of 2009.
And you know what? Dammit...
I'd love to get a 4BT. I doubt I could find one for free tho, like my spare LDT ended up being after I parted out and either used or sold just about everything else off that truck.
It doesn't matter if you max out the alternator. Alternators don't produce "extra" electricity.
If you put a current draw on it to turn water into hydrogen, it will make the alternator just that much harder to turn (meaning more fuel spent by the engine to do so).
This is a closed system...
No, I'm not talking about turning a deuce into a daily driver...
I'm talking about putting an LDT-465 into another vehicle.
Has anyone done this? What would be good candidates for such a thing?
What got me thinking about this was the idea that I might eventually get a 4BT and put it in a...
