The Military Vehicle Collectors of Colorado (MVCC) (mvcconline.org) put together a very large contingent of 5 tons and a deuce for the Elizabeth, CO Stampede Parade. We had three M818 tractors , two 5 ton cargo models and one deuce. Pretty impressive unit on the roll. Largest entry in the...
My 1986 M105, 1981 Miller M971 command trailer and the Military Vehicle Collectors of Colorado's 1953 M703 water buffalo. See more at the club's website - mvcconline.org.
Looks like add the brown. There isn't much brown to add and then the pattern would match the 818's colors also. Thanks for the inputs. I'm going to finish the black on the rest of the trailer then add the brown. Pics after thats done.
Should I add the brown fo the three color pattern or just leave this as is. Looks pretty good black and OD and I'm leaning to leave it that way. The base OD is an older hue of OD which will stay. The trailer is an M971. One side done. Plain side is how the trailer came off GL lot. Pattern...
Here's report on this unit. I bought two of these $8.95 24 volt battery chargers or maintainers as I use them. Very happy with them. After sitting for a month, on the M818 with two large 8D batteries with 1155 cranking amps each, the unit brought the static voltage up from 23.7 volts to 26.9...
Here are ythe 2010 pictures. 225,000 people this year. 60 plus degrees out. Perfect day to run 45 miles in a convoy of four 5 tons and a deuce north to Denver to join the rest.
Definitely make sure it wired at the batteries for 12 volts. My M818 had the system powered by 24 volts and the glow plug was fried. Two large resistors on the firewall bring the voltage down to 6 volts for the glow plug and man do they get hot even with 12 volt power.
Here are a few more including that truck coming up in the mirror. We convoyed for about 35 miles and we were getting off at out exit as he continued on.
I've done about 10 deuce or larger tires at the other end of a 50 foot hose with a clip-on air chuck layed stem down and left that way for a few hours at rated pressure. Man are those tire explosions devasting.
