Not so much snow this year in the Denver area. The pile was much bigger than this before I ran over it with the BV206. I had to plow the pile up to get any height at all. The truck was back there and hey its better than a picture. By the way, the NDTs and the truck couldn't back over the...
When are you coming out to pick it up? Might be able to get some club members here in the Denver area to go up there and check it out for you. Looks in pretty good shape. Is it a runner?

Its possible these plastic lines could be on our trucks for 30 years or more in some cases. This truck was depot rebuit 1991, relatively recent and I could snap these lines easier than I could cut them. Its a good idea on any M series truck to replace the plastic and rubber lines as they can...
Driving around in the good snow we got here south of Denver and stopped to see a friend plowing. Drove through a snow covered field and stopped to talk. When I headed back to the truck, I noticed fuel pouring out from underneath the engine bay. The smaller 1/4 inch feed line from the...
More pictures. Definitely both units powered through a pretty hefty transfer case. The rear drive shaft goes through a protective tunnel to the rear unit. Both units have the exact same ddive train underneath them. Thing is completely amphibious running about 4 knots on track power. Big...
Sorry about the darkness of the video. The sun was in the wrong spot. As for working on it, so far just an oil change which you have to suck out of the crankcase, a coolant hose popped off near the engine and hitting about 25 grease points is all I have done. There are two good size tunnel...
Finally had a decent snow south of Denver. Plowed up a snow hill and drove the M973 up on it. Will try to put the video on of it driving over this mound. In low range it will almost idle over this size hill.
That is cool and not hard to fabricate. That system would be much lighter to haul around also. And for weight comments, the anchor spades are lighter than they look. I was surprised that they weigh only about 20-25 lbs if that.
Here are the pics of where they go on the front of the truck. Wreckers have the same sockets on the rear. Two pics show my front mounting point on the spare tire platform.
Thanks Jonathan and why not on a tractor? Does it need them? Maybe not. Probably not. I had them and eyed the truck (with winch) and they just seemed to belong where they ended up. But with a winch up front the same reason a wrecker has them applies to this truck. Nothing wrong with coming...
Here are pics of the 3/8" round stock threaded on one end on an M818. Night shot so they are flash pics. I agree with Beastmaster. These vibrate/swing pretty good at the tips on ocassion and can eventually sheer off at the base because of fatique. The CB antennas are a good idea. I also...
