The 241 is definatly stronger, It has 6 planet gears on the low range planetary set. Also I is a good idea to pull it down anyways to replace the pads on the shift fork as it is common for them to be worn......2cents
I belive the "c" means chevrolet. You can use the 32 spline shaft out of the drivers side drop in your pass drop. Also the 208 will bolt directly up to the adapter for the 241.
