Best of luck with the recovery, I am sure you already know.. Check the fuel filters.. drain a little check for water.. I took about 2-3 cups of water out of my filters.. wish I had known before my recovery.. Also stop often and check for hot wheel hubs.. sign of draggin brakes.. Plan your stops...
Looks like a pretty clean truck.. I assume the previous owner took good care of it. You will want to read up on the general maintenance TM's if you have not already.. check for water in the fuel filters, drain the air tanks after each use.. Lubricate the Airpack and regularly check the brake...
Oh there's plenty of bad spots here and there.. Camera's are forgiving.. I have sides bows and a cover from my Deuce when I bought her. I plan on painting flat black to match the Deuce and I think the Desert Tan top will look sharp with the black.. Good luck with your's looks great after the...
JeffAS, your trailer has some similar markings on the back like mine.. Looks like similar rust proofing (the lighter green paint) in spots as well. Mine says it was from the NJ National Guard.. yours??
That was a great Save! Don't people know there is a market out there for old trucks like this. That's like going to scrap a model A or T.. I think I know of one of these trucks sitting in the woods, pretty bad shape but if I am up in that area again soon I will ask the neighbors and see what...

Thanks, I always use that stuff.. Sometimes even a day ahead of time, so it can really get in there.. They were so badly rusted, on one the bolt came loose but a slight twist of the line and I got a pinhole leak. Actually glad it broke! Don't want to deal with a pinhole in the line while...

Broke two lines taking out the Airpack, and one line replacing the front brake hose.. I figure between one and two replacing the M/C
