FMJ, that certainly is not the case on this end.....just passin on what took me 46 years (36 as a owner/operator) to pick up.
I don't know what happened to your or anyone elses motor and none of my postings were intended to suggest I did.
Kevin, sorry to hear Mr. Murphy is visiting you this weekend also.
At least this time you didn't stop anything with your face..[thumbzup]
I believe from what your telling us your not building more than 30lbs. pressure rather than a leak. You should certainly hear a leak of that...
This tells the complete history of Convoy Security from the horse drawn days to present.
It's 97 pages with photos, a long but worthwhile read.
If your into 'Gun Trucks' like I am, once you start reading you won't be able to stop.

Not really stumps, diesels are for the most part low rpm, hight torque motors. 'Lugging' puts excessive strain on the lower end of the motor while 'over-revs' gets the top end moving at speeds it was never designed to operate at.
Push rods bend, springs break or bounce, valves move at...
Funny you should bring that point up DH.
As an 'Old timmer' the saying always use to be that when a diesel let go, "Overrevs takes out the top of a motor and under revs (lugging) takes out the bottom".
Now I'm not saying that's the case in either one of these failures, but those were always...
No not at all, they're one of the best upgrades you can do to a multi. It allows for nearly instant oil pressure at start-up, but I saw them on FMJ's truck and was just wondering if S&C had them on his also. Just thinkin out loud and lookin for simularities as to why this may have happened twice...
What's going on? That's two multi's in two days.
Steelandcanvas and now FMJ's multi lets go.
I'd be curious to know if you've got spin-on oil filters on both of these trucks and did you warm them up before heading out?
Both engines have about the same hrs..
Ol' Mr. Murphy's workin...
Hey WM, now that ya got a 'Public Address System', just what are ya gonna say when you address the public..:?:
This outta be good... ;-)
FWIW - Our local radiator shop has been in business since the 40's and run by the same family since day one. They've seen it all and recommend to all their customers that they never use more than a 7lb. cap.
It provides enough pressure to keep the system working as it should and according to...
I feel before you invest that kinda money for increased speeds, the same should be spent towards better breaking.
All go and no whoa could make for a bad day real quick..
Kevin, my prayers are with you, hope your recovery is swift and alot less painful.
Last time I laid eyes on you at Gilbert, your nose and forehead were all banged up.
You gotta learn to quit stopin things with your face brother..:drool:
