I think I would pull the pan and take a look at the bottom end of the motor. I suppose you could have a busted connecting rod that is really splashing up the oil. That could also limit your RPM's if you were limping thru a cylinder cycle. Is it smoking? John

In simplest terms, the NEC prohibits the ground wire from being used as a current carrying conductor. When it is bonded to the neutral at the receptacle, it becomes one (in parallel) with the neutral, carrying current back to the generator. John

Jim, that looks nice. A couple observations though...it looks like the ground and neutral are bonded on the receptacle on the right. If they are, they shouldn't be. I would however, run a ground wire and bond to the metal box and the so cord ground. John
