That's correct. You might need to install a separate ground lug in the transfer switch can.
If you are running the neutral unswitched thru the transfer switch and have separated the neutral bond from the ground lug at the generator, you will also will also need to ensure that the ground...
I'd change it now. You've run it for 3 hours so any crap that had collected inside the motor should have been flushed out. New oil and filter and you'll sleep better at night.
Also, start it and get the engine warm just before you drain the old oil. Otherwise it'll take an eternity for the...
These are the ones I ordered:

Like Ike, I haven't tried these yet either.

There are some good deals still around out there by private sale. I got mine from a guy several hundred miles away, out in the sticks. He had managed to buy several nice 003 on GL before their prices went thru the roof and it took him a while to sell them. But I bet even these deals are going...
Yea, I was talking about the first of the three fuel filters, which is the water separator/strainer. Mine cleaned up nice without much effort. I have read they are hard to find so a lot of guys go the NAPA/spin on type if they're MIA. If you have yours intact and not too corroded/rusty...
I just removed my injectors and cleaned them up. I think the nozzle itself is brass so maybe not an issue. Since it is inside the line, without air the steel parts may not be rusty.
The is the injector port on #1with the glow plug tip seen through the injector opening. I would think a plug that is up to a 1/2" longer than the CH42 would work without a problem (other than the fact that longer plugs=more element=more amps on the battery and wire). But my point is that the...
I have also used Naval Jelly (about a pint) mixed with water and left saoking in the rusty tank and left over night. It was white metal in the next day-except for a rusty ring of the last inch of the filler neck where I didn't fill it to the tippy top. So make sure you fill it to the tippy...
I have the heads off the 003 doing the valves and I noticed their is room inside the injection nozzle chamber if the GP was a little longer. I'll snap a pic before I get it back together tonight. So if there were a plug that were 7/16x20x say about 4 inches it would work fine too. (Unlike a...
You lost me. [RD] Procedures: You should have the tank removed with the lacquer thinner doing its thing. Then you'll dump this into a bucket and rinse out the tank with a garden hose. You then rinse with muriatic acid to dissolve rust if needed. If the lacquer thinner and acid hasn't done you...
Sometimes people have claimed they sent me an email and I swear I never got it. I think there are times when internet mail can get a little flaky. I agree with Ike, give 'em a call and see if they can help you.

While I had the CH42 plug out today, I went ahead and measured it. It is .4375 (7/16)x20 and mine measured overall 3 7/16 and 2 7/16 from the base of the nut to the end of the element. I don't know if the element wears down over time.

A guy on Smok-Stak turned me on to Berryman's B-12 Chemtool (it's a carb cleaner). Once you use it you'll swear by it. If you've got some gummy fuel fittings and parts, this stuff is amazing. I highly recommend it.
