If I remember last year correctly, it was a fine chilly drizzle followed by.......aww, who the heck cares, it was my first time and I enjoyed it immensely! Good club, very helpful members. Can't wait to be in Jersey! Wow...............I can't believe I just said that.
The M35A3 is considered a tactical vehicle by the gov't. It's not like buying a used box truck from them. Whomever bought it from the gov't did sign an EUC and accompanying paperwork explicitly saying it cannot leave the country. An export license is required. There's always the possibility...
Last deuce we had delivered from Mechanicsburg was with a roll off trailer (axle shifts from rear to front). The driver said if it was, "One of those trucks with the **** big box you'd need a low-boy." We then started talking trailers and he was referring to the detatchable type. The 109's...
Most of the spares are gone by the time the trucks get to the GL lot and a majority of the remaining disappear while people wait for EUC's. Mine was padlocked, so I was lucky. I haven't found a large source for spares in that size and bolt pattern as of yet. They are at the swap meets, just...
That's a pretty darn neat truck with potential. First thing I noticed were the hub steps like the Unimogs have. From my experience they are very helpful, but getting in a Mog is still not easy.
State of Maine has the trailer racket for sure. I know multiple people of people in MD that have gone that route, commercial and private, no prob whatsoever. Look at the nearest interstate trailer traveling in your state, fairly good chance it's Maine. In the Mid-Atlantic region is very common.
I've heard of regular GL purchasers getting a "Periodic Review" roughly every 2 years or so. I think they just look into the purchaser same as they would for a first time buyer.
I'm jealous that yours still has its unit markings intact. I'm one of those guys that will keep it or restore it to what it was last used for. Unfortunately, all markings were sloppily covered with black spray paint. Have fun getting to know your new toy!
That's good for some people. There was some other guy entering the regular gate next to us with a pimped out Suburban and the hood wouldn't go up. He kept saying in broken English, "It's doesn't do up man, it's custom." As we drove away one of the now three guards asked him, "Well, how do you...
Never heard of a civilian SEE type tractor, at least in the states. I'll have to consult some Unimog books my Pops got a while ago. They're in German, so I just read the pictures.
BTW, rhinob, been busy with a new job in Baltimore since the summer. Will get in touch once things slow down a...
Interesting picture. I would have thought the mounting point for the TOW would have been the same as the recoiless rifle at the circular cut-out in the center of the bed. I'll post some .50 Cal mount pics in the future.
