Best of luck getting it back. Did the scumbag hotwire the thing?
Hopefully the police will notice something amiss and catch him red handed doing something else and your truck unharmed.
Seriously, they aren't trying to scam you. They are seriously lazy and mistake prone. The only way to protect yourself is to preview. I've been on previews where the listed vehicle wasn't even remotely like what was on the lot. I'm sure someone at some point has probally ended up with a...
The Army was nice enough to do a complete teardown and CARC repaint of my dad's deuce shortly before releasing it to GL. Sometime before we bought it someone drove it through some mud. J C Taylor wanted some pics before they would insure it, so I used a powerwasher with the nozzle that made a...
You're supposed to powerwash CARC. If you rub it, it will lose its texture and look like poop.
I'm sure there's a maintenance manual floating around that addresses it.
As, R Racing said, it is Kevin's, he's a known local around MD, and he really likes what he sells/plays with. All of the vehicles he's brought around, including the UH-1 Huey, were done up very nice. Get someone local to Annapolis to preview it if you would like.
Anything with 20-25 years on it is gonna have little age related issues. I like tinkering with my vehicles on the weekend, so vehicles of this age are perfect for me. If you either don't have the skills or the desire to turn wrenches, go buy a new BMW. More than likely, you'll probably just...
Ditto on the Defender 90. I've loved that style/size/look since I first saw it years ago. I've seen a few around in central MD that are all tricked out for offroading, snorkel/roof rack/stickers, and whatnot. Once heard that they stopped importing them because of rollover hazard. Don't know...
Never done that. There have been a number of flatcars for sale on GL this past month. Maybe if you buy the rail car AND a couple 5 tons, they'll ship it for free!!!
Mine is fortunately still intact. However, about seven years ago the rear-view on my Caprice fell off in Baltimore traffic. My lunch break was spent at Wally World getting the cheap glue kit and reinstalling the mirror. I did not want to spend two rush hours without it!
btw, the glue is...
A little paint and TLC and she'll be good as new! I never realized how tall those things were until I stood next to the one at the Findlay, OH show. They are a neat piece of machinery.
Listen to Doghead. Remember, the military tweaked its spec sheet when ordering. Mechanics used to civi rigs are only used to civi stock, or civi modified rigs.
It's the truth. Same as with any vehicle, buy it if you like it and can afford it. Also, as mentioned earlier, they are in demand for the fellow who wants a more daily driver kinda setup. I've been in a few auctions where I later find out bidders wanted them for their teen drivers.
