Fuel pumps are relatively cheap. Your wife may find this truck useful in driving out to where you are in the deuce to tell you dinner's ready!
And if you don't snatch it up quick, watch out for snipers!
Okay, fair warning for next year, then. Clare is almost always the 3rd weekend in August. Grayling is almost always the last weekend in September. Mark them on your calendar, go ahead, make a note, let your bosses (home and employer) know ahead of time when you need off! :-P
Also, if...
Looks like you've done a lot of thinking on it, Chris. Thanks for the effort. I'm looking forward to seeing the winner.
Just might want to think about a tie- breaker in case it's needed. A heavily modified weekend cruiser and a unmodified daily driver could end up with the same points...
Welcome. There are over 200 (probably closer to 400) Michigan people here on SS. A lot of them down in your area, from one coast to the other.
Sorry you can't make the swap meet at Clare, but be glad to have you join us at Grayling, with or without a truck--might help you make up your mind...
I have long thought the MVPA convention needed a "distance traveled" award for someone who drove their vehicle to the convention. Maybe that could be changed to who drove their vehicle the most mile in the past year, to encourage the daily (or frequent) use besides shows.
As for the trophy...
I typed "16th Brigade, 112th Engineers" in google and came up with several sources of information.
Sorry, the BDE stands for Brigade, the E stands for Engineers. FSC is normally Forward Support Company-it's a Guard unit out of Ohio according to Wikipedia.
Park 'em by Grayling someplace and rent them out to guys who want to do the Trail Ride in September but don't want to bring their own trucks up or don't have trucks yet ;-). Run your own Deuce Driver's Training course! :-P
Do you have access to a technical manual--TM9-2320-212-20? It has step by step procedures and a wiring diagram that is designed to help you keep from being stumped.
Yes, there are circuit breakers in this system. As I said before, they are on the support BEHIND the dash panel. PITA to get...
If I remember right, when I had a similar problem with mine, it was a breaker connection on the support BEHIND the dash panel. There may be 2 or 3 that look like simple 2 to 1 connectors, but I think one of them is a breaker that doesn't let the switch turn anything on.
BUT, if you're not...
I was going to point out the videos and vehicle pics, but I can't find them now. I know I had one on there about chasing down DaveP's 5ton last year! Did I just totally forget where they are?
Here's one of my lists: the G741/M37 family of vehicles. It is one of the shorter lists out of about 20. Other lists combine manufacturers/eras to keep the total number of lists manageable.
G741
M37 Family of Vehicles
Does not include Canadian (CDN) production.
1st series, 1951 to 1954...
This is the link to the thread posted by Westfolk back in Dec 06.

In my own files, I have taken this list, broken it down by Tracked, Wheeled, and trailers; added some (very significant) missing wheeled...
I'd be happy to upload my class/type lists for people to add pictures to if someone could tell me how. I can't include the pics I have that correspond because I don't remember where most of them came from (Probably from various threads right here on SS, but that doesn't allow me to republish them.)
Before the last upgrade we did that with the CUCV series, so that people could tell a M1010 from a M1028 or a M1009, etc. I don't know if that is still available--I think it was supposed to be a sticky, but I haven't looked for it lately.
Maybe if we could just bring up that list that Joe...
I've got a long wheel base (M201) chassis and two parts trucks that I was going to turn into a suburban-style M37 4 door. Since I've made NO progress other than the parts accumulation in over 20 years, it's all 4 sale. I'll have an ad up in the next few weeks.
Looks good, but I think your scale may be off a little. I don't think the Maintenance box off a Dodge is that much taller than a deuce cab. I'm thinking the fit may require a lilttle more engineering.
1989, or so, there was one of the Davey Compressor models still being used by a Michigan National Guard unit out of Bay City. I saw it at Annual Training that year. And, no, no camera that year so no pics.
