This reminds me of a funny. We were having the 5-ton "before driving the truck, check these things" training and the engine was up-idled at about 1000RPM to warm it up, and the 2LT was standing right next to the thing, hood up. He was commenting how it was a lot quieter than the old 5T. His back...
I will join.
I am in Dallas. 7PM in Keller on a certain Friday is possible because I work in Coppell.
I'll throw in for any advanced electronics help and I'm always good for regular electrical help. Plus done a lot of mods on the m35 and 5T.
Any one going to join that can patch with sheet...
That is to say it is not long enough to reroute.
I got to say I was at first concerned about the new t-case being a little off-center and the shortie driveshaft ftom the trans to the case therefore being at an angle, but there has been no issue at all, whatsoever, the shaft and joints run no...
yes, but see how the cable is kinked? It is not long enough to reach all the way to the t-case, I need to extend something here so it is not forced against the t-case like that.
After changing the M-818's transfer case from the Rockwell T-138 to the Rockwell T-1138, the speedo cable is not quite aligned. Can y'all look at this picture and tell me what I have here?
It appears there is an extension on the t-case going to the speedo adapter. As can be seen, it is a...
If you want a really hard time shifting the case, try installing it in an M818 and using the short throw shifter. It is almost impossible. I'd like to know what to do to 'fix' the case as it is super-hard to shift.
Thanks for posting this and using a descriptive title and for explaining why it works. Although the info's been generically posted in one form or another as an answer to various questions, its much easier to find it as a topic. That is important!
I would like to see a pinion brake video on a test track/strip with a major braking incident from 50-60 down to stop. I wonder if the rotor would glow bright orange or only dull orange. It's a nagging question. Inquiring Minds. I'd think about it as an extra "parking brake" but never as part...
I built such an adapter. It was crosswired to allow one to put 12V brake.turn lamps (the bulbs) in an M105 trailer. The 12V version of the bulb has the high and low pins reversed from the military 24V version.
It was in the end less costly to buy a set of towing lights.
I don't know, they are not common. That is why I mentioned the HF sectional stuff. Try Haney Electronics, "haneyelect" on eBay, remote chance he might have one, he's got all kinds of other stuff. ""
WTH?? I just typed a great and very detailed reply to add to this and some little thing on the board popped up, the screen refreshed, and its gone. THWI I am not typing that all again.
No, its a couple of time lapse frames in the commo truck during a mission, so one frame was entering data on the computer and another was with the mike keyed relaying information.
I would never have a stroke on duty and on camera because that would make the unit look bad.
I did my duty and...
What kind of noise?
popping/buzzing that varies with engine RPM - spark noise, Usually MV splugs and wires are shielded, maybe yours had problems there. Ignition noise is always an issue on CB. I use a noise blanker for it on a car.
whining noise? maybe the alternator or generator -- try an...
How about the AT-677/VR ? It is a VHF antenna about 5-6FT tall or so and ought to do well for AM or FM radios. The base is like a ball mount.
SWR won't really matter for an entertainment receiver and a pic. and the SWR chart I made covering 126-173MHz is here...
