    1952 Fermont 30KW Recovery!! PICS!!

I apologize. I misspoke. I didn't mean cylinder head. I was thinking piston, to replace the shattered one.

Where did you mount the license plates

Oh, and Indiana is one of the few states in the Union that does not require front plates, so I'd only have to mount one on the rear and be done with it. =D

    1952 Fermont 30KW Recovery!! PICS!!

And that wrist pin is... "still intact without a scratch"? Uh, are you planning to reuse it? :-? If you have a nice milling machine, you thinking you might mill a new unobtainium cylinder head from billet?

Where did you mount the license plates

I'd be worried that without a nut and a bolt, someone would try to steel it, especially, as I've been reading in the neighbor from Hell threads, someone who wants to get you in trouble for owning/driving it. Even with a clean bumper and a plate whose back is slathered in JB, I'd think it would...

    Say goodbye to ol' yeller

I seem to recall some military personnel making comments above their paygrade to the effect that due to treaty provisions, it's illegal for a medical insignia like that to be emblazoned on anything other than an actual, in use ambulance/medical facility. If the Federal government is impotent to...

Alas we must say goodbye to you Multifuel.

If you're hurting for a quick replacement engine for a Deuce, could do a lot worse than glomming onto an old surplus school bus They're always getting surplussed out before their tie on account of their legislated 10 year useful life. I've seen lots of DT466s in transit pushers. 6BTs too...

    length of vehicle

That's what he said. Wait, what? First think I'd do is figure out if there's a covenant or a home owners association, or some similar petty fascist tyrant around to tell you what can and can't park in your own drive way.

    length of vehicle

It takes a special kind of woman to appreciate all the finer qualities of a deuce. If she's the romantic, candle light dinner, walk in the moonlight, lay out under the stars kind of woman, then use the deuce to do all of those things with her. Rig the bed with a table that converts into a camp...

    25k rounds of .30-06 in a M109A3

I agree with BoT. I agree with HRD. I'm just generally agreeable. So, what does over 3./4 ton of .30-06 cost in American dollars?

5kw or 10 kw- is one better than the other?

So does the Internet's... Latin... sucketh. Never trust an automatied translator program, at least where Latin is concerned. I was trying to render a sig quote I got off USACarry into Latin to use here and it went... wrong. The English is "Somewhere, somoene is training very hard to kill you...

RADAR set - where to mount on Deuce?

Those presence-detect, as opposed to doormat pressure switch, automatic doors at the supermarket are usually radar units. Hams love to get them surplus to convert them to the 10 GHz Ham band use.

RADAR set - where to mount on Deuce?

The question isn't why DOES HE need a radar unit. The question is why YOU do NOT.

5kw or 10 kw- is one better than the other?

If the water pump is electric, then just use a coolant thermostat to insure that it has to get suitably heated up before the coolant will start flowing, and will only circulate fast/long enough to keep the thing from melting down. That should be enough to prevent wet stacking. Of course, if...

5kw or 10 kw- is one better than the other?

I didn't formerly realize that wet stacking was a problem particular only to liquid cooled diesel gensets. Why is that, and is there a way to operate the liquid cooling, and water pump, different radiator, radiator fan, etc., etc., that can ameliorate the wet stacking problem?
