I'd kinda like to do a truck in a WWII Naval camo pattern like the guys on Trucks! did with "das Bronco."

Only in blue urban camo colors.
Hey, swampy, didja manage to score those two Unicor Model 5485 10 kW 60 Hz genheads I clued you into on GL? They went for only about $270 for the two of `em. If so, my finder's fee is a sequence of highly detailed conversion project write ups on your two 300 Hz gennies, with plenty of photoes...
And if one is available for less than the costs of the components of a frequency divider, then I agree with you, absolutely, but the physics and electronic principles behind such a device would be an invaluable source of information for SS members, as would the details behind any successful 60...
Maybe we could start generating some? This is SteelSoldiers, if I'm not mistaken. They also serve who only stand and generate.
I was thinking about the problem of 400 Hz power when I saw a turbine powered genset on GL. I assumed they used 400 Hz more on aircraft because of the normally high RPM...
Who's the mugging moppet? I liked http://www.steelsoldiers.com/attachments/military-vehicle-road-trips/118748d1239509808t-pics-ft-leonard-wood-leonard-wood-12.jpg I caption it "No! I will NOT clean my room!"
If you've gotten everything off those chassises you want, I'd love to merge what's left...
I'd think that though a multi-fuel CAN run on straight, raw WMO, you'd rather at least run it through a filter first to remove all the solids it picked up from the last engine it ran through.
As far as uses for WMO, there's one application I'm wondering about...

Pics, or it didn't happen.
And if it happened, you, sir, have earned my undying enmity. May the fleas of a thousand camels inhabit your underwear drawer! :-P
Meh. The decision's pretty much been made for me at this point. I figured those HSHMC-25s in such rough shape would go for a few thousand, maybe $5k, $6k. That would give me enough breathing room to make the necessary repairs and upgrades to be able to both use it to build my house and add it to...
Has anybody heard of the OPOC engine? Opposed Piston/Opposed Cylinder turbo 2-stroke diesel engine.
Opposed Piston Opposed Cylinder Engine - Engineering TV
I'm be interested in everyone's opinion of it from these articles.
Three layers of 2" Dow rigid blue styrofoam insulation incorporating the corrugations of the container walls and a coating inside and out with ceramic insulating paint between the layers of blue foam. The exterior is going to be a white stucco, so that unwanted solar heating will be either...
I really prefer to be a one-woman operation, and I'm very analytic about taking on new endeavors like hopping in the cab of a 25 ton crane and starting to grab levers.
I wasn't implying that a few hours in the seat would make me safe for other people to be around, the guy handlers...
Yeah. I'd take a 40fter on a intermodal trailer behind the H-25 to a nice, large, open field and just play for a few hours with nothing and no one around.
Any idea how much these things would go for on GL?
I've been investigating mobiles cranes I might be able to get my hands on on the surplus market. They have to be able to hoist an object 40x8x9.5 feet weighting at least 8380 lbs. to a height of at least 19 feet from odd locations around the lift. Just to clear up any mystery, this is stacking...
I'd love to have been able to glomp onto a few of the more choice of those back when no one was looking. Get an m813/14 and swap the multifuel in with the original 5-spd manual and used the rest of the engines for various other truck projects/generator installations.
Hmmm. I didn't see that...
Someone in a comment said they looked like WWII era stuff, which is why I put it in here. Then again, now that I apply some logic to it... WWII multifuel does sound oxymoronic. In any case, it's all gone anyway.
Just exploring the Internet and found this site, opacity.us - Abandoned Photography and Urban Exploration. People find abandonned places around the world and explore them for the purpose of recording their state photographicly. This one photo gallery was of the Studebaker stamping plant in South...
