Truck was last titled to the city for the police department. Didn't know what it was. And it didn't small all that great. So thought best bet was to just drain it.
Also have another question. The screw in looking plug on the passenger side behind the door? I assume that would be for trailer lights or something? All the way on the cab about half way up the door. Right under the grab handle in the pic with the red fuel
Anyone by chance know what that red fuel could be? I drained it into a 5 gallon bucket about 5 1/2 times. Drained straight out the bottom of the tank. Gonna put a couple gallons of diesel in the tank and flip power on to pump it through and clean all that stuff out of the lines.
Those do help! Thanks. Where do the lines coming off the 2 filters go? I have the overflow for the injectors in the right place. Then there's the 2 lines coming off the filters. The one closest to the cab and the one closest to the radiator.
Haven't finished the pump yet. Gonna clean out the lines, and I'm going to be replacing all the fuel filters and draining the tank. Also got the title today, found out it was last owned by the city that I live in and was used by the police department. Pretty neat.
Pump is on, had to install it from the bottom and pulled the lines off and cleaned them out. Made sure I labeled the lines before taking them off. Timing mark on the motor is dead on, as well as the ip is lined up and dead on. Taking a trip to the hardware store in the morning to get the rest of...
Got it all timed and putting the pump on. What bolts and nuts and studs hold the ip on the block? Currently have 2 long studs going into the pump and through the motor to the front plate. Then 2 studs sticking out with 2 nuts to the pump and 1 stud sticking out the front to the plate
I set timing in the pump and timing for the pump is correct. Now I'm doing the motor, the marks are almost lined up with the pin. I spun the fan over and pushed on the belt.
How do I spin the motor over? The crank bolt looks impossible to get too and I don't have a wrench big enough for it, what size is it and how do I do it?
