Picked up another 1101 yesterday from Hood and the hubs got hot real quick. I popped the caps off and loosened the bearing nuts one flat and that worked good.
Last week a friend of mine tried pulling 2 m1101 trailers and he also reported it as a failure. The rear trailer wanted to bounce and flip over sideways.
Doesn't sound like any problem to me, and the noise description also not a problem. Yes these things make all sorts of noises that Cadillac or lexus don't.
Did the shop verify the block isn't cracked before they do the machine work on it? A high percentage of used 6.5 blocks are cracked around the main webs.
Interesting. I haven't tried any of the mil generators yet. Seems like a lot of guys have problems with getting them going, maybe more trouble than worth... ?
