What's in your tire? (Run Flat and Spacer)
I am editing this piece since RetiredWarHorses corrected me. This is the interior of a tire with an older run flat and spacer. (I can't' delete this or I would! LOL
Assuming the above (a delay, neutral, etc):
1. You could do a bluetooth solution going to a Raspberry Pi controller. There are numerous open-source projects for all sorts of actuators.
2. People get hung up around 24/12. technically, the lowest tech solution would be to fire a solenoid which...
I had noticed the pulsing when the engine was on. I looked and have the old controller. (Nartron, black, old model, #s too small for my old eyes to read).
I read this thread about the boxes.... https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?144903-EESS-PCB-replacement-for-the-HMMWV
Lots of gold...
When I turn my key on, my lights flicker (rhythmically) and my amperage goes low to normal to low. There is a clicking, which I assume to be a pump somewhere.
Engine starts fine. Lopes a bit when it is cold but idle evens out pretty quickly (2 minutes).
Belts wobble a but when running but I've...
I bought the kit from Kascar a couple of weeks ago and installed. Two things: My grounding was on the passenger side head. I went ahead and grounded to the drivers side head. Second thing: The gauge of the wires appeared to be "lighter" than what was shown. I don't think it makes a difference in...
Glad there is a good thread to home this. I think I posted this somewhere else. Since I wrote this, I powder-coated, mounted the second seat. This was a tough build, a few mistakes along the way but overall, after a couple of months, I like the seats and the upside of having a beefy rollbar...
I would like to get some fuel injectors (backups) for my 89 6.2. I have looked at the TMs but I can't find the PN. Kascar has PN 430211058 but does not indicate whether or not this is 6.2L. Also, there is short and long. I haven't found the differences in the forum....
Eternal thanks to the...
Have been looking all over for a v-belt compressor. None on ePay. I'm wondering if I can rig an after-market. I'm doing something a bit different (heaven forbid!) than stock. I have about five of the red dot pully brackets now.....
I have a leak at the front of my tranny. I have not pulled the flywheel cover off yet but I wanted to ask about a friend's suggestion:
He said that sometimes the torque converter may leak or cause a leak. He said to clean things up a bit and try tightening the bolts before pulling. Have you...
Having the same problem with a 350 Chevy two weeks ago, the axle grease is a good option. In SoCal, we get warm weather. Best to do this in the AM or the grease lets it siip due to the reduction in viscosity due to heat. Solution suggested above works.
So there are two different solutions solving different things (I saw the G503 thread late last night, thanks, it _is_ a lot of work.).
The steering plate and this on the right hand side. To me, both are subject to bolt shear strength unless welded. Of course, you also get to deal with shims on...
