The design has been in use for years. They are preferred over a Detroit locker in off road community. The more torque difference the harder it is to ratchet. They work good. Not recommend for front axles unless lock outs are used. You can't steer otherwise.
You asked what cable size to use for winch. Need to know amp draw. Warn has charts for all the winches offered. If I was me I use 1O twice form the battery to control box if the winch use is low. If heavy use the 2O. That is a long run of unprocted (fused) wire so protect it some how.
This is the nices, most reasonable, practical and cool. But if the hitch is adjustable up/down, the pull bar length will change? How is that accomplished? Did you modify the pintle bolt so max thread engagement with out moving the castles on the nut?
Nice pictures too! Good job!
They are easier on back and twice the work. When you use the hammer, you want to minimize contact with rim as you strike, but be as close to rims edge as possible.
Hydraulic bead breaker, but if you ask the guys who do this all the time, they never take it out of the truck. I have three sets of Gaither's Supper Tool Sets" and I say spend $100 on the hammer.
Albany, GA to NJ one MEP-831 300 pound Generators
I have one and possibly two of these small gens that are in storage at Sandcobras. In anyone is coming north and can bring, post up. No rush.
It is always a good feeling when you get to use your deuce regardless of what you are doing. All the maintenance we do and they sit, then run for a couple of miles/hours, but to get to use, priceless.

I forgot to mention, he throws the tires and rims around and at 582 pounds each he can pick up to put on lugs. I keep him as calm as possible cause he could lay me out easily. He dose tires all day from car to earth movers. Front end loaders. He does not do press ons. Only air, foam filled. You...
My tire guy does for beer. Run flats on MRAP are no different then standard wheel. You have to go to a tractor tire place. Not truck or car. There is a big difference in what and tech ability.
You need a long handle Duckbill Hammer or one of my tire kits. No just a duckbill. $100.00. Practice on old steel rim. There are also hydraulic bead breakers. I bought the duck and off they went. Tire guy will break down for $15 to $30 each.
Not sure if everyone is aware of the question being askedand statement on this site are really showing the mechanical, electrical abilities of some of SS members. If you don't know, learn! Learning here is not the best way. Need to be with an educator, instructor, other students to absorb this...
My post torques are not correct. On person caught it. Point is, find out for yourself. Torque is different for many factors. If you don't know, find out! Don't ask me cause I do not memories information that is written down in a TM or Engineering Referance Guide. My mind is cooked due to Meds so...
Chemicals. We all use them from fuel to acids. How we use and dispose of matters. 1st decide what you are going to do. 2nd see if there is a chemical that can do the job that is organic. It matters due to life span. 3rd read the directions and MSD. Follow all PPE requirements. 4th decide how to...
Rim bolts should be torqued with a torque wrench, not impact! They need to be run down in steps side to side top to bottom slowly. Wheel to adapter needs torque wrench too. Lugs 550, adapter 192, rims 105. All foot pounds! Yours are different.
