Question. If any one remembers my front drive shaft was out of phase buy three splines. Yea moron who took it apart did not mark it some how. I could have rotated one way or the other to get it back into phase. If a drive shaft is balanced when assembled and in phase if you then remove slip...
If the system that is all lines and cylinders holds 31 Gal. and reservoir holds 14 Gal. that seems up to 45 Gal. total? No way the whole system only holds 15 Gal.
Nice score no matter what. Could the front forks be changed out to a bucket.
Thanks for posting what you found and did / will do. I do not have a cucv but members that post a problem and then follow up on what / how and the fix help out other members when it is there turn to have a problem. Wish more members would do the same and follow up on there threads they start...
Bobbing with out putting lockers in front and rear is ok if the truck will be used to get groceries. I learned my lesson on that one and yes it still would be a bad machine off road but a tandem will get you through more with the correct tires for the terrain.
I googled it and learned somethings. I would say since it is a mechanical injection system it will inject the same amount of fuel at any altitude. Problem less oxygen so to me yes egt's would be high and power way down. Wonder if a pyrometer installed would help you keep and eye on exhaust...
Yes send John your core and you will get one back. I do not drive in the rain as mine is just a show queen now so I just put on a carter mechanical fuel pump and let the wipers be decorations.
As per some you can check the booster with just the in tank pump and it's low pressure if the seal is real bad. TM tells us we need to push 60 psi through it to check for a failing seal with it removed from the IP. Unused to me is old rubber and still might be your cause. As for you asking about...
There was a top secret space mission. The only two on board would be the commander and a monkey. The commander did not know why the mission needed a monkey on board but knew space command had a plan. When the commander and monkey were being loaded into the space craft the commander was handed a...
OK was the last monkey to climb out of the tree but yea see it now. Find the circuit on one page and look for the number that I need to go too. So to complete circuit 105 had to go from #47 to #139 or vise versa.
Has anyone been able to construct the whole down load or seen a complete one page schematic. I was never good at gig saw puzzles and my ADHD is not helping. I down loaded and printed then tried to assemble. I can get the main trunk ground line run out but the rest I am having trouble fitting...
Thanks for the info. Did we have a thread showing the bolt in a pic that was the problem with Compressor/ PS pump bracket to engine. I will look at the truck and should be self-explanatory. Also I will look at the Alternator and see about making a bracket but was wondering if anyone is making...
No have not played with my Deuce or it's fuel system in quite a while is it in a TM? I would still think it would be better to push what ever is blocking the booster back the way it came not through it some how.
I just happened to google it as I too have a 3116. Come to find out the marine Cat 3116 PCV system runs it back through the engine as you can not have oil or oil film discharged into the bilge. I just went with Rotella 15/40 this time and will read more.
I can not explain why fuel will go around the gear pump but it will. That is why we can with the engine off and just the in tank pump running test for pressure or bleed air after the booster on the bleed screw. So yes I believe it will back flow. The tm says it starts to open at 60 psi but as...
