Wehring,
Any word on the lock out hubs?
5 Tonners, is the air shift transfer case like the deuce? That is actuated with a switch on or under the dash. And what years and models were the air shift transfers installed?
Ok, not trying to steal anyone's thunder here, but there was someone on the site selling delco alternators in a kit form. Both 24 and 12 volt kits. Anyone know who that was? Unable to search it down.
Wheels are OD Iron. Tires are 15.5 michelin. Before you get tires from anyone make sure they have no sidewall checks/cracks.
The truck started life as an M109A3
I have a 1968 Kaiser/jeep M51A2. Came with fender mounted air cleaner. Has the LDS engine.
Has the early marker lights in front. Still has solid mount drivers seat. Mine is the 5 speed with no
overdrive 5th. Transfer cases are prone to failure because most are used at very slow speeds therefore...
You sold me Milman. Just ordered a Curt at $199.71 including shipping. Bargain. It will go on my bobber. Much easier to handle a trailer with a short truck. I have a couple of receivers but not as substantial as the curt. It will handle my Bobcat and trailer.:grd:
I have acquired 3 deuces with the rifle mounts outboard of the seats. I believe the military found the dash mount interferred.
In Nam we just hung the M16 on the wing nut of
the window hinge.2cents
I very recently received a zipper boot from Saturn and tore at the seam by the zipper upon installation. I was not brutal with
the boot. Others from Saturn cracked within a year after install were swelled and like a wet noodle indicating the grease/oil affected
the rubber.
Is there another BOOT thread that is more recent?
What is the latest experience with the silicone boots?
We are having a poor experience with Saturn's boots.
The safety valve is in the correct position. And you can plumb around most anything.
Also a photo of my latest finished product.

I do not recommend discarding the regulator. This may very well lead to air cylinder failure. At 90-120 psi something will give eventually. My friend had a regulator fail out of the box. HINT: He replaced the failed regulator with a Husky regulator from Home Depot.
The install with the regulator...
Attached are a couple of photos of how the military mounts the regulator. Instead of mounting the thing inside the frame rail they mount the regulator on the firewall. I have 2 trucks straight from DRMO and both are assembled in this manner. Therefore I have installed others the same way. Works...
Welcome to the site.
Yes pics would be nice. What does the truck require?
There is a 135 or 211 sitting in a local boneyard complete with winch. The truck as a whole is not in good shape but may have some salvageable parts. I may have some photos somewhere. Took them while collecting a 47 Buick...
I have made some long trips in deuces. 1600, 1200, 600. All with different deuces. I keep a top speed of 47MPH. I agree with the others. Tires especially are a weak point. NDC tires cup easily. Higher air pressure with new shocks help. Radials are a very good option. Improved/modified oil...
Your thread mentioned you may place the unit in the cab. You can cut down the heater core box since the core does not use much space in the metal box. The 5 ton 800 series core outlets bend 90 degrees and will work well in the cab. A 5 ton diverter will make ducting much easier. In my humble...
