Hello Everybody,
I have a M925 truck that has a NHC-250 cummins in it that I am experiencing a fueling issue with. Whenever I press the pedal to accelerate and then let off, the engine continues to go up in rpms and/or is very slow to come back down to idle. This problem gets more severe as the...
Hello everyone, I would like to extend an invitation to any mv owners and their trucks to attend and participate in our local armed forces day parade. We will begin gathering on the corner of A street and Choctaw Ave.in McAlester,Ok around 0900 with the parade set to start at 1000. After the...
I would recommend the Truck-Lite Led headlights. They are super tough and I have had them in everything from a Deuce to a M930 dump truck that was worked pretty regular in off road conditions. I've never had a failure to date. I believe I could probably fill a dumpster with the burned out stock...
The filter number for a M925a1 is a Wix 51467 . I have not been graced with the presence of a M925a2 on my yard yet but the numbers should be the same. Hopefully I can confirm in person on a M925A2 soon.
I just got my truck from the same sale hauled in today. I can say that all of Michelin XL tires on my truck are trash, They are 90% tread and are dry rotted big time. I can truthfully say that if I had done a drive off recovery, I probably wouldn't have made it 30 miles on the current tires...
Ive seen it both ways on these trucks. Ive had two that do the same thing. You turn the key to start, and all you hear is the in cab relay click and the lights dim. You rotate the engine a few degrees and it spins right up. This was with fully charged hawker batteries installed and a fully...
Just a thought. Use a 1 inch socket and a breakover bar on the bolt head in the middle of you crankshaft pulley. Rotate your engine a a few degrees. The 1028 that my dad drives has a tendency for the starter to bind on the flywheel and exhibit the behavior that yours does when he turns the key...
I know in this part of the woods you can expect around $4 a loaded mile for equipment/trucks on a lowboy or step deck. Unless you get someone running home with an empty trailer. It may seem expensive, but just one bad run in with ol' murphy and it will seem a lot cheaper.
I had no trouble in the last three mornings starting up my 1008. The glow plugs cycled and It started right up. I have two Hawker 6TAGM Batteries and they turned the starter over at normal speed when it was 2 degrees on monday.
The sub-frame that the bed sits on has been reinforced in areas. The suspension remains the same. That being said, Many of us have found that the suspension on these trucks can carry way more that the military ever rated them for. It really seems to me that this is the appropriate size bed for...
Just an update guys. We got the truck home last week. She runs like a top and the bed is something to behold. It is definitely heavier duty than any M929 or M817 bed I have ever seen. It has a telescoping Hyco hoist and a HEIL dump bed with at least a 1/4" steel liner in the bottom of the bed...
Your sending unit and gauge may be on the fritz. I had a very nice M925 that did the same thing and would even drop to 0 psi at idle. It was the sending unit. I just replaced the gauge and sending unit with a manual automotive gauge with the tubing that runs down to where the old sending unit...
I think I remember watching that truck. It was really clean. The 930's winch setup is really close to the M925's setup. It feeds off of the bed pump and tank and uses a separate valve for the winch. I can give further details if you need them.
Hello again everyone. I seen some M929s sell at Ft. Riley today with a different type of bed on them. I noticed that the sides were taller and they did not have a tail gate. They also seem to be very heavily built. Does anyone have any info on what these beds were designed for and if they were...
I've sold several M817's to local customers here for everything from ranch work to quarry duty. The main reasons they wanted them is the 6 wheel drive capability, and the price compared to a civilian counterpart. I do agree with you on the currently high prices on the 929's but if you shop...
