i need pics... It would be awesome to see the pics of you tearing into it and then showing how dry it was.
Just today I was watching someone replace the silicone boots and wheel bearings. so i got to see the assembly with the axle removed for my first time.
i still have yet to see the rears.
My truck is running good, but I still dont have an inspection sticker on it yet. Saturday afternoons or any time on sundays work best for me. I would love to see the 10T also, but none of us seem to know where Kalashnikov lives.
So when are all of us M*******s going to meet up? Where? I vote closest to me, because I said it first and I haven't drove too far yet in it.
How much? don't know.. I just poured 3 gallons of brand new 80 w hydraulic oil in because i got tired of tripping over the bucket in the shop. I also have a friend with a race car and he is always changing oil and gear fluid. SO i will get all his old stuff.
All i want to add is i think its funny they refer to the drive shafts as propeller shafts. Maybe they were designing a boat with wheels to drive to Bikini Bottom too visit spongebob. :)
I was worried about it at first but i am like "whatever". I am not worried about it at all at this point. I toot the horn at every cop, or kid i see and wave and everyone waves back and gives the thumbs up. I would say about 1/2 of all the pedestrians i see are smiling and motioning for the...
Ok Here IS the answer... Straight from one of the best electrical engineers i have ever met, and i have met a few over the years.
Hi Dave,
Any AC motor turns when there is a phase shift. But, with a single phase motor the phase shift is developed by some clever phase shifting electrical...
I didn't read past the first page on this thread. But if i had that many memories in that truck, I would say it would be a perfect time to build a quad cab with a short bed and keep all 3 axles. Salvage what you can, get out the torches and turn in the damaged sheet metal for scrap iron.
try to email it to your self or pull the card and use a card reader. or bluetooth it to the pc...
I need a geek smiley, or maybe a Darth Vader smiley. (r2d2 would be cool as a smiley also)
Did R2D2 have a single phase or 3phase motor
Yeah, what he said.... lol seriously that makes perfect sense (at least to me now)
Gimp, you got to change that avatar. that is just disturbing.
is the compressor connected to the open tube on the backside of the airbox?
Are all the axle vents connected up that one red mini filter?
do you need to borrow my scuba gear when you go out?
Thanks for helping me try to explain it. I hope my information was not to far off target. I am curious to what my electrical engineer friend sends me for a description... This should be good. As soon as i get it, I will post it.
It was explained to me and i will do my best to explain it to you but i am no electrical engineer. (but i know a few so i may ask) Yes the motors spin the same rpm wise but the lower the speed the easier it is to bog down, even stop a single phase motor (if taking a heavy cut or boring a large...
yes. But a ball valve hanging down is begging to get snapped off. Messing around with the other style the possibilitys are endless and can be lowprofile (less than 1" easily) I just happen to be comfortable playing with wires. I always think of how something can be improved upon and what...
I think (because i am a geek) that a lot of features for the deuce could be easily made to be cab controls these days with the use of solenoids and relays.
In earlier posts we were talking about runaway motors and choking off the air supply. That's a good one to do.
Or the fording plug...
